Video game publisher Kiss, Ltd. announced that it and publisher Funbox will release Guilty Gear X2 for PCs via Steam on September 5. When asked about possible mulitplayer ability, Kiss replied, "ARCsys do not officially support Netplay on PC, but of course it can be done."

Arc System Works made an announcement regarding the PC version of their fighting games, Guilty Gear X2 #Reload and Guilty Gear Isuka, released to Steam on July 2003 and June 2006, respectively.
