"If you haven’t heard the news by now, the new Play Share feature announced during Sony‘s Gamescom press conference is coming packaged with a 60 minute cap. Some gamers are not happy about this, but I don’t see any problem."
TSA previews F1 Manager 24.
Why race when you can manage? That's the premise of Frontier Developments' F1 Manager series as F1 races back to the grid in F1 Manager 2024.
With NBA 2K24 Season 7 tipping off, that means new Season 7 Rewards for MyCAREER, MyTEAM, Premium, Pro Pass, and HOF Pass.
"Imagine a world where there was no cap as to how long you could take over your friend’s game through Play Share. Potentially, your friend could put the controller down and head outside while you play his game endlessly, with no reason to actually buy it yourself."
This comment right here says it all. Gamers today have become so spoiled and privileged that they just don't seem to understand that should we get everything we wanted, the gaming industry would crash.
Had they not capped this feature then game sales would drop significantly and if that happens what do people think will happen to our beloved pastime? Airtight games and crytek anyone?
The thing is though, if the sessions are unlimited, why have a cap to begin with. Sure games might be interrupted, but people will just abuse it and start another session if it means they dont have to purchase the game and save $60.
Either the session will be shortened or cap will be removed all together.
I expected some sort of cap. And you get 10 keys. That's 10 hours for friends, which is a lot of time for something they didn't purchase.
I'm happy with this opportunity. I have friends that buy games I want to play with them, and the other way around, and sometimes the friend that went out to buy the game for the other was disappointed. So, I'm happy they can test it out to see if the co-op is worth it before both buy into it.
such a awesome feature , hell , i'd be happy even if it was less , so 60mins is way cool! thank you sony!
