Some Destiny Limited Edition pre-orders cancelled due to demand

Best Buy has sent some customers an email apologizing for cancelling their pre-order of Destiny Limited Edition due to shortages. They are offering $50 towards the Digital Guardian Edition or Regular Edition.

My gf received this email. She called Best Buy customer service and they told her that her order was still in place and, in fact, had not been cancelled. They apologized for sending her the email. So, we will see what happens come September.

I hope that doesn't happen to me. I preordered from Future Shop (owned by Best Buy in Canada)..

For those interested, a lot of people are reporting that the $50 voucher thing is actually just $50 off anything.

Good thing I had a second order in at Newegg for this reason. I got the $50 code email, so I can't really complain too much. Friend of mine at work though, he got the cancellation email, but not the $50 code, so he's a bit miffed.

I can almost assure you Newegg will cancel your order. They have a horrible history of selling CEs they never even stock.

a case for digital downloads?

i get having physical media and the extra little bonus book/toy/whatever but man... digital is so much more convenient.

After a buddy told me that the Ghost editions sold out extremely fast, I went searching online hoping to find one last second and I managed to grab one from Walmart.com. I never got an email about it being cancelled though and they also emailed me my beta code so I doubt it will happen. The beta was near perfect and I can't wait for the full game.

One of my favorite games of all time. Hate that ain’t didn’t allow a sequel.

The Motorcycle was actually fun and the idea and effects of the Hordes was actually great. Sadly, the zombies in the horde have no health bar so they drop like flies, even if you hit them like once or twice on the knee. Also, no Head Shot Only Mode in another Zombie game.

In the end, it was a very generic game, with terrible mission design and cookie cutter everything. And with terrible writing and terrible written characters, the whole thing was just an Asylum level bad. This was just Sons of Anarchy at home with Zombies but somehow worst.

But again, the motorcycle was fun though...

I really enjoyed it. Shame it never got a sequel. Unless that sequel was online focused.

They will probably focus 100% on the pvp because if Marvel Rivals steals their spot it will be very hard to recover it

Marvels IP roster is much more interesting than overwatch's... and I'm willing to bet a better developer than actvision/blizzard. If Rivals has a PvE mode its over.
