GamesBeat: The fifth entry in Gameloft’s blockbuster mobile series still thinks it’s a console/PC shooter.
WTMG's Leo Faria: "Despite being little else than a port of a mobile game, Modern Combat Blackout is quite enjoyable, especially if you’re craving for a more traditional FPS offering on the Switch. It makes up for its underwhelming visuals, framerate, and campaign mode with a decent multiplayer and great controls. It gives me hope for future Gameloft endeavors on the console, as well as alerting Activision that you can make CoD-like shooters work on the Switch. You’re losing the race, guys."
The Nintendo Switch finally has a military shooter with Modern Combat Blackout! How does it stack up compared to the likes of Call of Duty or Battlefield?
Short Pause: "Check out the first two missions of the Modern Combat Blackout campaign as well as a few rounds of its multiplayer gameplay."
I can't imagine that playing a military shooter with touch controls is fun.
The first four were pretty good (especially online), I'll try this one as well.
Yeah, I just can't do mobile versions of console/PC games.
I haven't played these, but they must be somewhat OK to make a fifth one. Or maybe they're just blindly following the Call of Duty model. :)
