New Infinity Runner Trailer Shows VR Gameplay

VRFocus - Wales Interactive’s sci-fi first-person free running title, Infinity Runner, is set to launch on PC, Mac and Linux later on today. It is set to release after a short delay from its original June 2014 date. Arriving ahead of that launch is a new trailer for the title, which can be seen below. The footage takes a look at Infinity Runner‘s support for the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) headset, with plenty of gameplay found within.

This looks like a typical runner game like on tablet. The only difference is the VR headset. This would not justify the cost of the headset. I would need an open world game.

I'll have our review up for at WCCFtech once embargo lifts and, yes, it does very much feel like a tablet game. I actually commented on how it feels like a game more suited for that platform.
That said, there is a good sense of speed to the game so, paired with a Rift, there could be some fun to be had there.
It certainly would add to the experience somewhat.

I can finally watch pron, I mean watch pronouns be pronounced in PC VR games that were previously not available on Playstation.

Profchaos65d ago

I'm excited for that to plus I can try fallout 4 VR always wanted to play that

crazyCoconuts65d ago

I was lucky and held off on 4 until I played it in VR. It really is pretty awesome - you'll love it.

The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.
