Nintendo is brining two of the earliest Game Boy Advance games to Wii U. Super Mario Advance, a re-release of Super Mario Bros. 2 with a few new bosses, and Kuru Kuru Kururin will be available as Virtual Console games in Japan on July 16.

It feels like a rushed title made just so the Game Boy Advance would have a game featuring Nintendo’s most famous mascot at launch. There are much better ways to play classic and remastered versions of Super Mario Bros 2 nowadays on more advanced portable systems. But if you’re into retro collecting, then this game is a must-have for your Game Boy Advance library. Plus it’s probably stupidly cheap nowadays."

The author should have mentioned the huge problem with the Virtual Console: Nintendo ties all digital purchases to hardware, not accounts. If your Nintendo console or handheld breaks, is lost, or stolen, you lose all your digital purchases. No one should buy any Virtual Console games unless and until Nintendo changes this harsh, anti-consumer policy.

It's hard to believe that there are hundreds of classic games that still haven't made it to North America. Here we have a long-lost GBA title that previously came out in Japan and Europe and now we can play it on Wii U. It sure looks cute so let's boot it up!
Oh, yeah! Will definitely get Super Mario Advance.
Mario Bros. 2 is my favorite Mario game from the NES and SNES eras, and I've never played SM Advance, so it will be nice to find out what's new with that game. :D
