FFXIII Report: FFXIII at E3 08, FF Agito XIII Cancelled?

Discussing Square Enix coming to E3 08, and FF Agito XIII possibly being cancelled, The Final Fantasy XIII Podcast back again for June.

a announcement of december release of FFXIII and June - 2009 release of FFVXIII to keep things balanced! now that would be awesome! but enough of secrecy sqaure-enix this is one thing to love and hate , you can love they keep secrecy over every game and when its finished they announce it till then its under wraps but you can also hate waiting for any kind of announcement regarding the games!!!

...for some new info. I know there is plenty of speculation that we're not seeing any new FFXIII footage/info till TGS08. But honestly, I'm hoping E3 provides something. Release date would be a true Godsend.

We haven't seen anything since that E3 2k6 trailer. They created an extended trailer later on but it was still essentially the same thing. Hopefully, it gets released in Q1 2k9 for Japan and the US gets it by Q3 2k9.

Agito was rumored (think it was confirmed) canceled long before Getaway and 8 Days. Plus Agito has nothing to do with Getaway and 8 Days. Agito is a mobile phone game and Sony has nothing to do with the project. I guess you didn't know that and you were just trying to make some stupid point.

Anyway, getaway and 8days were just postponed to late 2009 or 2010, it`s not big deal since games wouldn`t come in 2008. =]

This is probably a big thing in Japan. They love their cell phone games. I'm pretty sure even if it didn't get canceled, it would never hit outside of Japan anyways... As for FFXIII. If they released a new trailer of the in-game engine at E3, I would set. We better hear more....

If it's the same crap they pulled with FF10,then forget it. I've been a Square fan since the release of the original Final Fantasy, and stuck with playing all the games, despite of some reviews. But now, it seems like S/E just wants to stick J-Pop look-a-likes in their games.
The storyline for each one since 10 have been "meh" or in other words, "OK". 11 was almost a keeper for me, but the fact that I HAVE to be in a party after lv 10 kept me from playing it anymore.

Back to teh topic, looks just "OK" for right now, but going to have to wait until I actually play it.

I got to level 65 and quit after wasting so much of my life. 10 was fun but was waaaay to linear. I didn't get to play much of 12 though. I like all other before 10 though.

they actually came to a halt not canceled they are shifting resources (such as employees and funds ) to get games that are coming out this year out to hands of gamers asap.

They were simply pushed aside so more resources could be set up for current games coming along. They are not canceled or canned just yet. Either way their release was set for 2009 at the earliest so its possible that they could still be setup for 2009-2010 release.

Agito is a cell phone game. It's pretty stupid releasing a game on a phone. It should've been released on PSN or PSP for that matter. Theres going to be lots of FFXIII titles though.

Uhh, question, yeah. I actually started listening to the podcast to try to find some semblance of confirmation on 13 being at E3...there is none. I know the site is probably the biggest unofficial FF13 site on the net, but that means nothing as its members are just fans and appear to know no more than those of us on N4G. This is just a discussion of stuff related to their site and other news that can be found elsewhere. They are not Journalist, they are fans. Thus, this title is extremely misleading. No one knows yet whether FF13 will show at E3.

Notice the well placed question mark in the title, I'm not stating I know, it's a speculative title, hence the "?". And I would sure hope we're fans running a fan site, if some business was running fansite for profit, that'd just be screwed up. Even the Gamespy Planets network sites webmasters are not payed, so I don't think a journalist would spend their time on a fansite, unless it were a hobby.

well, if you are being honest, it revolutionized how RPG games are played. It had the most memorable FF storyline, including a villain that has his own legion of fans across the globe. It up'd the ante for presentation and visuals and ultimately along with MGS saved the PSone and helped it become the legendary console it is today. It has spawned numerous spin-offs/sequels and basically laid the foundation for FFVIII and FFIX as well as gave the basic framework for FFX. It honestly to this day is still mimmiced in multiple ways by RPG developers including Square-Enix themselves! Truly a masterpiece.

Agito is one that PS3 owners can honestly say they dont care about.. As a die hard FF fan myself I wouldnt have even bothered with Agito, playing on a mobile just doesnt give the same experiance as a console game.
