The Rose Experience: Top gaming franchises we want rebooted/remade

Reboots, re-imaginings and remakes are all the rage right now in video games. In the latest Rose Experience, Jason wants to take you through a few of the series that are near and dear to his heart and some he would love to see get another kick at the can. Don’t worry if he left out your faves; chances are Jason wants them too and thought of them as well. Just remember, he only has so much time and can’t cover everything.

I'm 40 and grew up on games of all types. I remember being in college and seeing this new console "the Playstation" back in 1996 and drooling at resident evil. I then bought a gamecube just for the remake of the first Resident Evil and to this day, that games is one of my all time greatest games. I personally would buy a remake of the first 3 resi games every time they remade it. Its a pity that the series has turned into the abomination that it currently is. I still refuse to by #6.

RE was one I thought about, but they're still selling incredibly well.

I kind of wanted to go with franchises that have been put to the side for one reason or another.

I'm afraid there's a major chance of Legacy of Kain being messed up, so i would never accept a modern reboot of that game.

Maybe, but it couldn't be worse than what happened to it.

Nosgoth shows there is life in the IP, but that is not the way to go with Legacy of Kain.

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken32d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake32d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol

SEGA’s Switch Predecessor: What Happened to the Nomad?

Sega had such a turbulent existence from the mid-90s to when they dropped out of console manufacturing entirely in 2001, it’s understandable if you’ve never heard of the Genesis Nomad.
