Square Enix is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Dragon Quest franchise and announced a ton of new games for the popular JRPG series.
i really hope to correct the music(or at least its repetitiveness) ...ooh man the game was very good but the continiuous music so damn annoying i couldnt stand it ..it was ruining the whole game
I wish they’d rerelease DQVIII on consoles. They could also try localizing DQX offline

That Octopath Traveler style DQ 3 remake looks pretty good. Here is to hoping Square uses that for other franchises (*cough cough* Final Fantasy 6)
Today Square Enix announced its financial results for the fiscal year that ended on March 31, 2021 and spelled its plans for the medium term.
Good for square Enix. It seems 2020 was a great year for everyone in gaming and even with the avengers fiasco, they still made record profit.
So 3ds gets a port but still no mention of a western release, even though they were considering it :/
EDIT: I wonder if this is a sign of DQXI coming to 3ds? Very interesting how they are using cloud tech to play on 3ds
They had an exclusivity deal? Wasn't it because DQ games are always on the best selling hardware? DQIX and X and the various spin-offs were only on Nintendo hardware because they were dominating in Japan. DQX Wii U was an anomaly because they just ported over the Wii version with a much better resolution, and they probably thought the Wii U was gonna perform like the Wii sales wise.
The DQ games sell like 7x as much in Japan alone than the US and EU sales combined. Since the PS4 and Wii U aren't doing too hot in Japan, I doubt the game is going to be exclusive.
My regretful intermission of my DQ VIII playthrough preceded the death of my BC PS3, and short of enjoying it's spiritual successor (ni no kuni), I'm dying for a DQ VIII HD remaster or traditional DQ XI for my non-BC PS3 or PS4.
