Well I still have my PlayStation Move, and I have my PS4 camera, so I'm ready for Project Morpheus!!

user14394143614d ago

Morpheus is going to be amazing. Sony will make sure VR will be the best on Playstation. XoXoXo

ZodTheRipper3614d ago

Sony can make this sure ONLY if they give it proper first party support. Not every game should get Morpheus support but every game where it makes sense should have it. Move was such a cool (and well working) piece of hardware but it failed because of missing support from Sony... I really hope this won't happen to Morpheus as well (and I hope that Morpheus will re-ignite the capabilities of PS Move).

Move seems to have been created with VR in mind, it does seem to be a perfect addition to VR and will really add something to the how we interact

I trust Sony to deliver a very capable VR experience

This is a game changer!

aerisbueller3614d ago (Edited 3614d ago )

VR will be awesome on Playstation, and I'm glad Sony is making it even more mainstream even quicker, but VR will be best on a high end PC with an Omni, and whichever other motion peripherals you pick.

I interviewed that guy back at E3 2006, super cool person. He also appeared on our podcast a while later.

I'm glad to see him working on Morpheus. It's in good hands with him.

S2Killinit3612d ago

I liked him too. He seems like a real gamer you know, not just a mouth piece.

AgentSmithPS43614d ago

Wow I didn't expect for this director to increase my already justifiably high expectations even more. And all without fake enthusiasm or seizure inducing compilations of gameplay with horrible music.

WillGuitarGuy3614d ago (Edited 3614d ago )

Morpheus is awesome from what people are telling me. I can't wait to see how devs like Media Molecule end up using this impressive piece of tech in their games.

DigitalRaptor3614d ago (Edited 3614d ago )

It's seeming that way.

It's already something solid, and there's a definite case for it as a consumer product. Sony just needs to work out some core game design/tech issues, as well as tidy up the tech to be released next year. They have tons of time for that.

From there, it's up to the devs to provide some interesting and compelling content.

AgentSmithPS43614d ago

Yeah, I've read many good things about it and there's rarely complaints except by those that expect way too much or just love to complain.

I mostly don't care about the social stuff but I'm glad it's there because it should encourage more and more people to buy it and then more game companies will support it and we'll get a big variety of great games!

mogwaii3614d ago

How about some info on a release date and price, seen and heard all this other stuff.

can't believe he did not ask for clarification on steeringwheel and morpheus vr. Confirmation of VR in GT7?

DigitalRaptor3614d ago (Edited 3614d ago )

I can't believe you would believe he would provide confirmation for an unannounced game ;)

teo723614d ago (Edited 3614d ago )

of course I don't believe that. But considering that Kazunori Yamauchi (director of polyhony digital. maker of the Gran Turismo series) is quite the tech geek and that VR support in GT7 would IMHO be a perfect fit; I don't think it is that far fetched. Not to mention, it would be totally awsome to play GT7 with Morpeus VR and the steeringwheel Thrustmaster T300; albeit very expensive fun...

In a car you sit still, just like when you play a driving game on your console at home; so nausia other vr health issues should not be a problem as I see it.

pwnsause_returns3614d ago

Ummm it's pretty obvious that gt7 is going to get VR. Look at gt5 how it supported the ps eye. Sure it wasn't a good implementation, but this would make it the perfect fit... Project cars is supporting it for both project Morpheus and oculus when they both launch.. It would look ridiculous on them if polyphony digital doesn't support it on gt7..

stuna13614d ago

A first person view version of something akin to Final Fantasy would be kind of cool with the move controller and morpheus IMO.

mariopasta53d ago

I can finally watch pron, I mean watch pronouns be pronounced in PC VR games that were previously not available on Playstation.

crazyCoconuts53d ago

be careful not to sprain your... tongue pronouncing those pronouns

Profchaos53d ago

I'm excited for that to plus I can try fallout 4 VR always wanted to play that

crazyCoconuts53d ago

I was lucky and held off on 4 until I played it in VR. It really is pretty awesome - you'll love it.

DaReapa53d ago

The icing on the cake would be if Sony / Valve allow for a Steam Link app much like it is for the Quest 3. Likely wishful thinking, though.
