Unlike Microsoft, Sony's E3 press conference wasn't entirely focused on games that will be releasing later this year.
The truth of the matter is that, thanks to the early lead it has achieved with PlayStation 4, it has been afforded the freedom to take a more measured approach, perhaps even restrained, approach to announcements.
While there certainly were some big reveals at its E3 press conference, a trailer for Uncharted 4, LittleBigPlanet 3 and From Software's Bloodborne being a few notable examples, it also felt like the platform holder was keeping more than a few cards close to its chest.
GB: "With this feature, we run down 15 of the most underrated games on the PS4 that never received the love and appreciation they truly deserve."
I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.
I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.
There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
Friendship is hard to depict accurately, but The Last Guardian does a good job of showing all its ups and downs through Trico and the boy.
I enjoyed the game but it started out too simple and easy. If the entire game was as intense and challenging as the last 20% it would have been a 10/10 experience.
I managed to grab the collectors edition for £40 about a year after it released. Was an enjoyable game, but I had just finished Shadow of the colossus, and whilst I enjoyed it, it was not as good when compared.
To better understand why The Last Guardian's Trico clicked with some gamers and annoyed others, this article will explore the story behind the beast to see what makes it tick. Although a somewhat polarizing figure, Trico is a unique element of The Last Guardian that is equal parts captivating and mysterious. While some appreciate the beast's realism and unpredictability, other found the strange creature to be a tad too frustrating.
"here's quite a large number of people who own PS4s that didn't own PS3s. A lot of people who maybe owned our competitors platforms and wanted to make the jump. We have real data that shows that. It's a shockingly large number."
Am I the only one who really wants to see this data now? Damn my curiosity! I know he said 31% but I'd still like to see the actual data and figures etc.
31% owned a competiting system last gen and 17% didnt own a last gen console?
So nearly 50% of ps4 owners didn't have a ps3?
I was hoping that he'd say that there are going to be some more AAA games on the Vita, but then again he said that he'd love to play additional indies on it. What a disappointment. I would love to see an inFamous game on the Vita, or (Call me crazy) an HD remake of the first 3 Crash Bandicoot games.
Okay.
You know you didn't talk a lot about vita.
You're glad you didn't talk a lot about vita.
And you will continue to not talk a lot about vita.
It's such a shame.
A beautifull piece of hardware.
And Sony doesn't wanna make anything for it.
Indie is fine, but please! Give me an infamous on vita! Bioshock! Last of Us! Spyro! I don't care! Just ... something!
It pisses me off that Sony spent all that time talking about that Powers show, but couldn't show some of those 100 Vita games in development. Everybody is gonna get the show free anyways so did they really need to sell people on it for that long? Surely convincing tons of people to buy a Vita would've made them more money. I love indies and I'm beginning to love Japanese games, but that's not all i want on Vita. Stop treating Vita like a PS4 peripheral and give us more games like Tearaway.
