Eurogamer writes: "There was lots of talk about innovation at this year's UbiDays conference. Voice control. 3D visuals. Super-clever sidekicks. And, of course, "A world exclusive, the first ever game you can play with your ass."
What could it be? Tom Clancy's Bumfighter? Cheek to Cheek With Jade Raymond? A misguidedly literal sequel to Assassin's Creed? No, it's Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party, the game first hinted at in a teaser trailer released in April.
For the third instalment in the RRR series, Ubisoft has decided to make some of the mini-games playable using the Wii balance board. Only one of these was demonstrated at the event - a sledging game played by sitting down and shifting your weight left and right to steer. But, as game manager Adrian Lacey explains during our post-conference chat, there will be more board games in the finished product."
"I think if you asked most people who have been following the Rabbids IP what direction Ubisoft should take the series in next, they would probably ask for another platformer. I, on the other hand, actually want to see a mini-game collection again. And here's why." -- Wiiloveit.com
The Raving Rabbid Party Collection brings more family fun to the Wii system in a setting that both kids and adults will find entertaining.
Craig Hasselback writes: "The world of video games has companies, mascots and franchises scattered throughout the past that never reached their full potential. Those series and mascots ended and no one blinked an eye. But what about those great game franchises that really were good, but for some reason went missing? We've compiled a list of the top five franchises that we consider to be the most wanted franchises that have disappeared. The franchises span multiple console generations and various platforms, but one thing they all have in common is that they were great. While the reasons they disappeared differs, one thing they all have in common is that we would gobble them up if a new game was made. So without anymore delay, here's today's top five."
