Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain May be the Most Realistic One Yet (Denkiphile E3 2014 Preview)

Davis from Denkiphile: "During last year’s E3, being unable to play or even view some extended gameplay of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was one of my biggest disappointments of all time. It ruined my entire E3 week. Thankfuly, Konami made up for that this year with their presentation on Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This gameplay demonstration would have to be amazing to undo such a terrible disappointment, right? It definitely was. More than that, it blew me away and has me on board the hype train for some truly next gen (or current gen by now) games."

Especially with your regenerating health! The ability to see people through walls! Slow mo, Holograms that can be carried on a person ! -_-

Seriously, go play MGS1, it is the more realistic. Even with the S-radar.

Snookies123630d ago

Whaaa- There's regenerating health in MGS V? (Haven't played GZ yet.)

KingKelloggTheWH3630d ago

Yeah It has COD style health now, down to the blood on the screen even

Matt6663630d ago

I preferred the whole medical healing system from MGS3 that was more realistic the regenerate health system.

Eating snakes and rabbits. Best game ever made

LackTrue4K3630d ago

I'm dying to see some multiplayer action!!!!

I miss MGO!

I agree about the regenerating health mechanic as well. They could have easily used the directional buttons as a "Quick-aid" instead of going full Wolverine.

If a game has regenerating health, the enemy A.I better have the aggression to counter it in my opinion.

Now we'll have to see how much the Master Collection will add to those numbers.

Number1TailzFan198d ago

Too bad it was a lazy release. They could've updated the visuals and everything. Missed opportunity.

Stanjara198d ago

...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.

Minute Man 721198d ago (Edited 198d ago )

Are they counting every game?

Edit: they did

Nyxus198d ago

Yes, these are total lifetime sales of the entire series.

ApocalypseShadow198d ago

.... mostly with the help of PlayStation.

Yea I don’t get why they’re allowing old reviews to be posted here. Someone did one on Soul Reaver and I got so excited thinking there was some stealth release of an HD Remaster, but no… it’s just someone who had a slow day posted an old review…

Cacabunga214d ago

I liked the game but for me it felt somehow like a military simulator rather than a proper MGS.. i got bored of that

micdagoat19214d ago

I do wish they would remaster all the soul reavers

micdagoat19214d ago

it was done this morning though

goldwyncq214d ago

The author was in a coma for 9 years and didn't get to play the game when it released.

Chocoburger214d ago

This review arrived just in time for launch. Perfect timing!

RupeeHoarder214d ago

Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.

YourMommySpoils214d ago

Looks better than Starfield, Cyberpunk and most recent games out. Still fine.

RupeeHoarder214d ago

It most certainly does not lol.

andy85214d ago

Have you player Cyberpunk since the first day? It's absolutely stunning now

One of the worst games ever made. Absolute overhyped trash!

Snowb420214d ago

The gameplay was great. It was the tacked on open world and repetitive missions that messed the game up.

Shane Kim214d ago

The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.

KyRo214d ago

The hospital section was the only bit that felt like a MGS game.

MGS4 was the ending for me. I totally ignore the fact 5 exists. It didn't need to exist tbh
