of course they shut down the eu servers for everquest online adventures back in the ps2 days, long before the ps3 launched, they shut the us servers down last year.
of course sony didn't tell the stores that so they continued to sell the game.
VG247- Sony Online Entertainment will shutter four of its games, including EverQuest Online Adventures. The other three affected games are Cosmic Rift, Infantry and Star Chamber: The Harbinger Saga.

It may have more "hardcore" games but the only ones that I really like are Demon Souls, MGS4, Heavy Rain, and Killzone 2.

I love all my consoles equally but honestly, Microsoft messed up with their lack of third party memory support. Reach might just be my last game with the 360, only because I feel somewhat betrayed by how they went about expansion of memory. And yes paying 100 bucks for that wireless adapter way back when still hurts my wallet to this day. Sony just seemed to have a bit more of a sure footing and support for the customer needs on this one

SONY sabotaged the Dreamcasts online movement by saying "SONY's going to have broadband out of the box, we're going to be a wireless connection with the PS2". "Why would you buy a Dreamcast"? It worked, SONY confused & tricked everyone they could except the smart gamers that wasn't sold on their BS.
SONY released with none of that & Dreamcast showed SONY how to do it, SONY didnt think it was important.
M$ on the other hand (releasing the reg. XBOX a year after the PS2), realised the future in online console gaming & built on it. Dominating the competition & building on it each day & SONY had a focus on b-ray.
The real focus you SONY HATERS need to look at is the digression of the PS3 Slim. "NO BACWARDS COMPATABILITY"! People were sh*****g on the 360 because it only had 10 or so games that were backwards compatible & SONY Superfans were saying "ALL" PS3 games were going to be backwards compatible!
Another SONY Lie, they aren't & now SONY's reselling old games you've purchased on the PS2 & no ones complaining. Meanwhile, the 360 has over 500 backwards compatible games to PS3 Slims none!
So again, Terrible article & get your head out of your @$$!
Just get the original PS3. They are not really in short supply. I've seen them all over. Plus, it's not like Sony is just giving you the original PS2 games. It's the same game...yes...but they are at least upping the resolution for today's HDTV owners. They aren't forcing you to pay for it...it's an option. I do agree that the article did lack a bit of perspective and focus. Ultimately, it was the ramblings of a bored person reflecting on his thoughts. Good or bad...that's all it was.
I like games as anyone else here but taking about God in them as saying that a developer or company is god that is a blasphemy that I really dont like. So ill vote agains you.
