3D oriental fantasy MMORPG ASTA developed by Polygon Games will be published by ChangYou in China. ChangYou has announced that the official name of this game in Chinese is 天神纪 and the first closed beta will kick off this July.
The game features two warring factions, large-scale player versus player and Realm versus Realm combat and has been touted as "the Asian World of Warcraft." ASTA takes place in a high fantasy setting heavily inspired by East Asian myths, legends and philosophy.
History repeats itself as a second ASTA shutdown is announced by the game's developers on the MMORPG's official Steam page.
After being shut down by Webzen back in October last year, ASTA is being revived later this month! Set to re-launch on Steam on 26 April, the new publisher is Move Games, a little-known Korean company which is known for re-launching Korean online games which have closed in the Western market. It is unknown if developer Polygon Games is still working on the title.
