Tom Clancy's HAWX - 4Minute in-game video demonstration

The video shows the game in action with all the rapid movement and set cut scenes that we have come to expect from the Air Combat genre. It also features some pretty annoying warings coming from what seems to be the missile alert system, so it's either he's playing the game on an insane difficulty and is always locked onto or they've just overdone it a bit.

those beeps did get annoying, but not nearly as much as the frenchie announcer. I didn't need to hear him at all.

i would have to disagree when you say its slick like ace combat... ace combat doesnt have that hazy cloudy look the entire game. ace 6 is a graphically masterpiece when compared to what fighter jets look like in real life. I work on the f16 and can tell you that ace does an awesome job, as for this game its just got a generic look with a cover layer of cloudy haze.

I only play warhawk when I need to chill out from Socom getting my blood pressure high. All I do is jump in a tank and drive around.

This game doesn't seem to even improve that much on the flying mechanics imo. Warhawk doesn't even take it's flying that seriously since you can get out of the plane and drive tanks, jeeps, dropships, apc's, etc and use a crapload of other weapons. Even with that warhawk's flying in pro flight seems dangerously similar to this game.

regarding Warhawk... it's just pure fun to pick up and play.... unless you suck at it, but even then, it's still pretty fun to just mess around.

Thx ubi but I will be passing on this arcade flight sim. I already got an arcade sim. Ace combat 6 fills that hole. What I want is realism in my flight based games.

Ubisoft, what have you become? Tom Clancy games used to be good and have standards! It's honestly heartbreaking to know that possibly the last chance of having a realistic combat flight simulator on the 360 (or a decent new PC one) has gone down the drain.

Edit: Yeah, does look similar to Ace Combat, but Ace Combat seems to have better graphics... When it comes to such an arcady experience, graphics are a huge deal.

They have one chance to win me back: Actually make the next Ghost Recon a Ghost Recon game... you know, with RECON in it...

I thought the mountain range looked good, but that's about it. I thought the animation of the jets exploding looked pretty lame, like an arcade game. You should see debris and a fiery wreck plummeting to the ground not just red and yellow burst in the sky.
