At an event for LucasArts' Fracture last week it didn't slip anyone's attention that the game was only playable on Xbox 360, but according to the game's assistant producer Jeffrey Gullett this wasn't to do with the PS3 game lagging behind in development.
Speaking about initial development of Fracture on PS3 Gullett said: "It was one of those things that was really sort of challenging and scary at first," but he went on to say that the team has "gotten over most of the major hurdles and now we've had them running side by side simultaneously, and they look flawless."
YouTube’s ‘John GodGames Emus’ has shared some video showing Jurassic: The Hunted, Chaotic: Shadow Warriors and Fracture running in the latest DirectX 12 version of the best Xbox 360 emulator, Xenia. These games came only on consoles and the first two titles appear to be playable in Xenia.
"ZL: The reception was less than underwhelming. Fracture is one of those games that has already been forgotten; “terrain deformation” failed to impress gamers, the struggle between the Pacificans and the Alliance (though I’m not sure who they’re aligned with) inspired no one, everyone hated the main character and the online servers are host to nothing more than tumbleweeds."
We're well into the first week of August, and the summer's hottest days could be just ahead. There's still a debate being waged over climate change policies proposed to help curb its effects, but in some video game that debate is over and the effects of climate change lead to a bleak future. We speak to Dr. David Robinson, New Jersey State Climatologist and Professor in the Department of Geography at Rutgers University, to find out if these video games' vision of a post climate change future holds more fact or fiction.
Wow. This is an incredible read.

Well written, thought provoking and intelligent. Great job to Steven Wong.
Alot devs have said recently, they plan to make the PS3 1st priority in the future. Like Lucas Arts and Midway to name a few. Starting your game on the 360 is stupid at this point. Fracture began production when it wasn`t stupid to do this.
its scary how sony didnt realise dat wen they made the ps3 incredibly difficult to develop for dat it would put alot of developers off.
deres startin to become a trend of games not being released on ps3
i can think of a few im sure u can aswell
Working on ps3 is challenging and scary at first, but when done right , the output scare the sh1t out of the competitors, proof = MGS4, Prologue and Uncharted .......... :)
LoL at the disagrees, man if u cant admire the brilliance of the three games mentioned above , then u better wake up from ur fantasies !!
Its actually similar to that of the PS2 in its early years. It was more difficult than the competition at the time and people werent used to the Emotion Engine. They got passed that through different ways, whether it be learning how to fully use it when it came to multiplats, or starting dev on the PS2 instead of the Dreamcast/GC.
I dont hear any of them complaining now about the PS2 dev when they made a crapton of money from it. I think the same will happen here. PS3 is at first difficult to develop for, but not impossible as some would have you believe in the first year. Now that they're trying, now that when it comes to multiplat, they should either start on the PS3 first and move to the 360, or have 2 teams working side by side on each console, it'll be fine. 1st party and games meant for the PS3 alone have shown on more than one occasion that it's not difficult and the end results are more than some figured possible.
good to know they got it running perfectly in the end
well actually.. i don't give a crap either way since the game looks balls
"ooh wow, this grenade makes a ditch"
the terrain deformation might be fun for a while, but it looks like it will turn into a boring TPS after a while
