Rumored 'Project Beast' Clips Sure Look Incredible

Early this month, rumors about something called "Project Beast" started floating across the web. A number of screenshots, posted on 4chan and compiled in this NeoGAF thread, allegedly showed off an upcoming PS4 game developed by From Software, the studio behind Dark Souls.

Normally I'd believe something like this. But the 'Sony Japan' and 'PS4' makes it seem exclusive, in which case if this was Shadow Tower, why wouldn't they make it Multiplat(they being FromSoftware)?

Well, Demon Souls is also an exclusive because of the way Sony works with exclusives

Sony wants the rights of every exclusive on their platforms. Ratchet and Clank is made by a third party company (Insomniac) but Sony holds the rights to it

I'm pretty sure this happened to demon's souls and why the sequel was called dark souls

So it would be possible for it to be called Demon's Souls 2, but in all honesty, we call only speculate.

Definitely gotta be Demons Souls 2. Why?
I say because it is not just From Software, but also Sony Japan Studio working on it too. They both worked on Demons Souls together.
Not only that, but this looks like a mix of Demons Souls and... SOUL SACRIFICE! SCEJ did SSAC just recently, and they need to change it up for next gen, so they added the 2 games together and got this. If not Demons 2 then a whole new game based off the 2.

I honestly don't know why many people are speculating as to whether this is an exclusive or not. Sony is giving funds to SCEJ(Sony Studio Japan) to co-develop this game with From Software, which is exactly what they did when they made Demon Souls. Sony is not going to personally fund a game that's freaking multi-platform, especially given their financial situation as of today. Whatever funds they have for games will be wholly dedicated to first-party exclusive titles i.e Project Beast(this), any other exclusives they have in the works that we don't know about and improving upon PSN and securing content for PS+.

Not to be condescending, but some of you must be really ignorant if you believe Sony is going to fund a 3rd party game just for shits-and-giggles. The only people that do something like that is Microsoft and that's because frankly they can. The Redmond company has more money than they know what to do with, so they can fund a 3rd party title just for say...exclusive DLC and timed-release without hesitating. Sony not so much....

No it's not just insider, SCEJ said right after Knack was shipped that they have a second and 3rd PS4 exclusive in development... And what's more this Game was even rumored to be shown off at the PS4 launch event last year. This game is well ahead in development and if they show it at E3 I have a feeling it'll be here this Fall.

Interesting, looks like the atmosphere of Demon's Souls....very dark, lonely, foreboding. Kinda worried about the intrusion of guns into a game like Demon's Souls though, but it's From so I'm sure they will handle it beautifully.

I think that maybe everyone is over thinking this and maybe this is a legitimate brand new IP sure I wouldn't object to any of those games but I'm more hopeful for something fresh

Looks awesome! I'm extremely excited for this game. Although I can understand the sentiments some have about the inclusion of guns in soul-esque games but, I think including them might be pretty cool. Im sure From Software will incorporate them in a way that makes them limited use through scarce ammo or by putting them on the same level of effectiveness as other ranged weapons.

Day one for me if it turns out the way I think it's going to. Sadly I can already hear the whines about how it will be too different or too similar to the other souls games. Can't win with this generation of meatheads who only game because their friends do and just play games to waste time.

Hope they deliver a great game.
