The final piece of the trio of titles in Ace Combat Infinity looks to lie somewhere between the two as it just released on PlayStation 3 yesterday. While competitive multiplayer isn't among the features touted by Bandai Namco, single player and cooperative missions are still here in abundance. Even though this is true, the developers are painfully aware of how much those who invest time can despise pay-to-win.
In an exclusive interview with Examiner, Producer Kazutoki Kono, spoke about how different of an experience this has been and as to what degree Ace Combat Infinity will be a true free-to-play experience.
The new Ace Combat project, development, and the future of the series are discussed by the developers in this interview.
As long as it's the same project aces team that have made the series great.
And, that there's talk of bringing it to VR headsets like NGVR and PC as a hybrid game playable in and out of VR.
If you really want me to salivate, a side mode that has mecha from Macross/Robotech or a whole game. Come on Namco Bandai, give me this again from PS2. It was your game. Or, ask Sega to help develop like last time.

Oh. And give us some real flying speed. A real adrenaline rush.
I hope thr next game is fully playable in and out of VR, 3 missions is not enough. There's no need for an airshow or gallery where you just look at the planes.
I would love for a VR Ace Combat5 Unsung War remake, which to me was the best Ace Combat game. The story was aces, tried to play it on PS4 but thr controls felt stiff so I never finished it, but on PS2 my friend and I would play and end it every few days.
I hope they get rid of the time limit for each mission or reduce it to just a few missions. I hate it. The time limit ruins some of my favorite missions and takes away the freedom to use some of the jets like the A-10. I prefer the fuel gauge and allow the player to return to base to refuel and rearm at any time.
Bandai Namco finally revealed more information about Ace Combat 7's upcoming story DLC. Yet Team Ages is already setting its sight on what comes next.
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Producer mentioned that he was contacted by anaircraft manufacturer for a possible collaboration. Today, he revealed which one.
