I'm not surprised to see Watch Dogs having a sale already. Give it a few months and the development team will have a fire sale.

It's not on sale. You do however get a money off on psn or xbl 1 year cards if you buy watch dogs.

It's the same promotion they are running this week, that and 10% off with the cartwheel app.

Edit: By the way, the game is really good, enjoying the hell out of it so far, not sure why you are being so negative about it.

Are you new to gaming or something? Maybe oldies (31 years old) like me have been too spoiled with new game hype and the resulting products in the past. Watch_Dogs is one of the biggest disappointments I've ever seen and it seriously makes me consider just quitting gaming all together. I have forced 4 hours of play and I just get more disgusted as I discover new lazy programming.

Infamous is/was on sale yesterday for $37. I think it was at newegg.

I will be getting MK8 but not from Target. I dont need another wii-wheel accessory. Now, if they would let me take that $10 value and apply it to the price of the game....I may reconsider buying from Target.

Rockefellow3638d ago

They allow that for gift cards at most locations I've been to, though accessories and giveaway items specifically state they have no cash redemption value. Kind of BS, but it's a nice incentive for people who don't have a wheel.

Surprisingly enough, Target includes video games on their "Cartwheel" program. I was buying a copy of Watch Dogs yesterday, and the clerk asked if I had Cartwheel on my phone. I thought he was just pushing it on me, but he pulled his out and gave me 10% off on the game, right on launch day.

Sure, its not a significant discount, but it helps save a few bucks right off the bat for a game I was buying anyway. I'll for sure be checking Cartwheel for now on at launch days-- saving at least 15% with a Target red card plus a $5 gift card for preordering is one of the best overall straightforward deals I have seen on brand-new games. Check it out for yourself!

... Of course, if you are like me and wait a few weeks to just grab games for $40 or so, it's not that pertinent. Just figured I'd offer a heads up.

They are not really on sale just free offers. The Watch Dogs discount on subscription cards was also available this week. Murdered Soul Suspect is supposed to retail for $49.99 on PS3 and 360, instead it shows $59.99 plus $10 gift certificate.

Looking forward to Murdered Soul Suspect, looks like a uniquely fun game, a rental at least.

Looking Ahead: The Lingering Questions About the Next Mario Kart

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "10 years. It’s been almost 10 years since the last mainline release in the Mario Kart series. Mario Kart 8 came out for the Wii U in 2014 and became the best-selling game for the system by a sizeable margin, and later pulled the same magic trick on the Nintendo Switch under the stage name Deluxe. All in all, it's sold nearly 70 million copies over the last decade and is still selling like hot cakes to this day, so it’s no wonder Nintendo has been in no rush to replace it. However, with rumors of a new system being just around the corner, and reports a few years back that a new Mario Kart is indeed under way, it seems the era of 8 might very well be drawing to a close. It’s an exciting prospect to be sure, but after two Nintendo systems with Mario Kart 8 at their heart, a lot of questions remain about how Nintendo will choose to follow it up."

I hope they just keep building on Mario Kart 8; Add a track-creation tool, and probably open it up to more Nintendo IPs with new tracks and characters, so Metroid, Punch Out, Starfox, Animal Crossing, etc etc.
