Plants Vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare Coming To PlayStation Consoles

A new teaser from EA suggests that PS3/PS4 versions of the Xbox exclusive shooter are in the works. Expect a formal announcement at E3, if not before.

^A few months ago Microsoft announced that splitscreen is X1 exclusive ...if that's true I will not buy it. This is a game made for local multiplayer and I'm not too keen on playing it with strangers.

There are no bots in the game, the Xbox One split screen feature is only for two people locally to play together online via split screen.

I recently bought this game for my little nephew and didn't want him hearing people online, so I simply went into 360's settings and muted the voice chat. This mutes everyone with a mic automatically, that's a very great feature on 360 that ps3 doesn't have imo.

I disagree fully. It was made for multiplayer, specifically online as 2 players (split screen) is only a slice of the team.

it's out on Windows june sometime I think so that's the xbox exclusive part gone also didn't they mention it was always a timed exclusive and would be on the Sony consoles before 2014?

This was a timed exclusive as stated last year. Might be good fun but no longer a day one purchase this late in the game. Too many good games to play through from wolfenstine, mario kart 8 and watchdogs

This may end up becoming a trend for Xbox One.

We told people that Titanfall and Plants vs. Zombies would come to PS3/PS4. I'm happy that Planets vs. Zombies is coming. Couldn't care less about Titanfall coming to PS4 other than it's good that more people can play it if they want, and happy that EA has finally seen sense.

Whether it's these hundreds of millions Microsoft is spending on timed exclusives, or the Japanese games that will likely come to PS4 once they bomb. It's gonna be harder for MS to secure these exclusives, now that publishers realise the more popular console isn't worth snubbing, and definitely not without them going over their $1 billion budget for games.

Lol @lukas in any other situation not supporting Xbox you'd take the superior version even if it doesn't affect your play. I just bought this for x1 when it was 25% off. Local is the best part when ppl are over. Gf is addicted. Don't be so short minded to ignore an awesome feature you may want in the future, but Sony fans will be Sony fans... Who are you to tell me the reasons why i would buy a game? Lmao. PvZ was the next game i was going to buy for my X1, i was waiting for it to hit £20, which it probably has by now. But now i know i can get the more than likely superior version, on a console where all my friends are... why would i bother with getting it on X1? And in all seriousness, if the X1 was the more powerful console, and was the console where all my friends were, i would be gaming on that console primarily. Choice is a luxury of owning both, i guess.

Nope, i mean the PS4 version. Read what i said again, carefully. I said the "superior version", not "the best version". The X1 version would be the superior version in comparison to the 360 version, just like the PS4 version will likely be the superior version when compared to the X1 version...and just like the PC will be the superior version when compared to everything else. I'm 99% sure this was always slated to be just a timed exclusive for Microsoft. Regardless, I'd be happy to check it out at some point. It looks like a really fun and vibrant shooter, I just don't know how/if microtransactions effect the enjoyment of the game.

I only played for a couple of days and didn't feel micro transactions played a big part at all which is obviously a good thing.
Thought the game was pretty boring though, but quite funny for first couple of hours.

You REALLY don't need to even consider using micro-transactions, it's really easy to quickly earn in-game money, if anything using micro-transactions would ruin your sense of achievement when you buy the most expensive sticker packs etc...

It's a good game but I dont really ever play it for more than 20 minutes at a time... It's serves as more of a break from other games (mainly titanfall) at the moment.

Gotta love those timed exclusives lol I seriously don't understand how Microsoft tries to count a timed exclusive as an exclusive. When they say they have the most exclusives it's not really true. Exclusive means that the only way I would be able to play this game is to buy an Xbox One, but then the game comes out for PS4 a couple months down the line, possibly with improved visuals and maybe even with new content.

Titanfall is not a timed exclusive. It is exclusive to all microsoft products but expect Titanfall 2 to be on PS4.

When people say Titanfall is coming to PS4, they generally mean the franchise, the sequel, or the 'Omega Edition' that gets around exclusivity contracts as we've seen several times before.

Titanfall is definitely coming, like you said. It's blatantly obvious EA has fubbed up by signing up with the Xbone exclusively, when they (and countless others) thought this generation was in Microsoft's pocket. What's also evident is Titanfall hasn't made any huge splash in terms of copies sold or shifting XB1 units, especially when you weigh it up against the marketing budget.

So if the first game is coming to PS4, they would have to get it moving ASAP, which is possible but also doubtful. So I think they'll be counting on a more successful multiplatform launch with the sequel.
