PSXEXTREME reviews Fatal Inertia EX - 8/10

"All in all, for $30 Fatal Inertia EX is definitely an enjoyable title. Thanks to Koei making some key enhancements, the controls have now been fixed up considerably, erasing much of the game's previous faults. The career mode will keep you busy for some time, as will the game's 59 courses and its fully customizable aircrafts. The span of race events keeps the single-player and multiplayer experience fun, and the replay value solid. If you're tired of waiting for WipeOut HD and you need a distraction for the time being, Fatal Inertia EX should do you well."

If someone has the game, can (s)he enlight me?
In the demo, i found Fatal Inertia a bit slow, except in "speed races". Is that because it was just the beginning of the game? Can it be faster playing the game (vehicles enhancments, playing with always more vehicles, etc...)?

EX is not the same game as the Xbox 360 version (and it is not released yet)

EX has:
+different controls
+different content
+different graphics
+different tracks
+different implementation of physics

so no - none have the game yet so it would be hard to give advice for EX

I think if u upgrade the vehicle it would make it either slower or fast. Adding a lot things can make it slow but u have more protection. Having less things can make it faster, but the protection is low. I think its good but im waiting for wipeout HD first. Also the demo has achievements, which is awesome because fw2.4 is addin Trophies. The game did release but not in US or EU only in japan.

Dark Zero Review: Fatal Inertia EX

Dark Zero writes: "Fatal Inertia EX is the PlayStation 3 release of the year-old Xbox 360 game Fatal Inertia and is available now as a download from the PlayStation Store, for a fee of course.
Set in a futuristic world where mega-corporations control everything from government to entertainment, Fatal Inertia has become the most popular, and dangerous, pastime. The best drivers race in cars that hover over all types of ground, from molten lava to coastal inlets.

Sounds exciting doesn't it? Unfortunately, in the early stages of the game it isn't. I know that the earlier levels are supposed to be easy for beginners to grasp the controls, but in my eyes they were just uneventful, boring and didn't make me thrilled about playing on. Fortunately I did, otherwise this would be a very short review, and by the time you get halfway through the 'Professional League' it gets a bit trickier and somewhat more enjoyable. The tracks are short which means that the races are quick and if you get stuck in the crowd with the rest of the racers, it can get very chaotic, which is where the races get interesting. A side effect of the tracks being fairly short, sometimes the race is over before you know it and suddenly you're in second when you thought you could overtake the guy in front on the next corner to take home a win which gets a bit annoying.
The races are based on six different areas with all the course"
