Ubi less talking and more showing please.

starchild3670d ago

How are they not showing? Far Cry 3, Rayman Legends, Splinter Cell Blacklist, Assassin's Creed 4 and Child of Light were all successful games with very positive critical reception. Watch Dogs, Assassin's Creed Unity, The Division and Far Cry 4 are some of the most anticipated upcoming games. Again, how are they not showing?

They make games and it takes a certain amount of time for them to come out and then reviewers and gamers in general judge them and decide if we like them. Watch Dogs hasn't technically been released yet so there aren't many reviews for it yet, but I can say that what I have played so far is very promising and I am enjoying it a lot.

allgamespc20123669d ago (Edited 3669d ago )

None of their Triple A games have been worth their talk. far cry 3 was overrated, watch dogs is already pretty boring and downgraded to hell and back. rayman is good, the division we still have to see, AC is overrated and hasnt been good since 2, even though IV gave it some new life.

They def need less talking and more show, watch dogs is not even near where it should be for such a hyped game. Doesnt even look nearly as good as the e3 build. if this is what they delayed it for, i cant imagine what it was like a year ago. Dont lie to your customers by showing them off something you are not going to be able to accomplish in the long term.

Army_of_Darkness3669d ago

GTA5 remastered for the ps4 and pc will look better than watch dogs.

user56695103669d ago

@allgamespc2012
you could say that about most games even exclusives. especially since exclusive games get hyped up the most and people look pass their flaws because theyre exclusives.

XiNarutoUzumaki3670d ago (Edited 3670d ago )

I would believe that if this game was on Next Gen only. last gen is holding this game back.

XiSasukeUchiha3670d ago

@Naruto

I had the same feeling dude, but it's doesn't matter Watch Dogs looks very good on PS4/ Xbone! while X360/PS3 look ok yes...yes.. before you complain I know it's last gen, so obviously it would look worse than PS4 and Xbone.

spacedelete3670d ago

stop spreading lies. i'm playing it right now and it looks unbelievably bad and thats the PS4 version i'm playing. graphics look worse than games i played in 2007. it wouldn't be so bad if the AI was actually good and was actually fun to play buts its boring and repetitive and gets old quick. the game has worse physics than Saints Row for crying out load!

to anyone thinking of buying it. don't. Ubisoft is conning next gen gamers. the game has worse textures than even Vice City at times. avoid at all costs.

starchild3670d ago

Your's are the lies. I'm playing the PC version and unless the PS4 version is a lot worse the game is FAR from bad looking.

I'd love for you to tell me which games from 2007 look better than Watch Dogs, because even Crysis from 2007 on my PC absolutely maxed out looks worse (I'm talking about vanilla, not modded). And nothing else from 2007 even came close to Crysis.

allgamespc20123669d ago

are you from ubisoft? these are all lies. game is boring, even on PC ultra it looks like crap most of the time specially during the day.

dont even get me started on the driving. its so bad, with your supercar being able to break anything to the minimal touch. terrible physics

starchild3669d ago (Edited 3669d ago )

Looks like crap? FFS I can't even take you people seriously. Your comments are too absurd. Saying it's not the best looking game or that you think some other game looks better is reasonable, but saying it looks like crap is just silly.

I seriously doubt you have played it, and if you have you are probably playing on some ancient piece of shit PC and then blaming the game.

The game looks good. Again, please show me another open world game that looks better. http://a.pomf.se/acrhml.web...

It's pretty clear you are just in hater mode. Your comment near the top makes that pretty clear. You hate all these games that the majority of people like. Good for you.

Dynasty20213670d ago

Consoles are holding this game back.

tastas213670d ago

I have a feeling this game is going to completely bomb.

esemce3669d ago (Edited 3669d ago )

It will still sell well but it's been over hyped and does not come close to the e3 2012 reveal, it's also a system hog for what is on screen with many dips in framerate for no apparent reason.

And the car handling is a bit crap, GTA5 on PC will put it to shame.

It will probably turn out decent put breaks no new ground, it's nothing special and I would not call it 'next gen' anything.

Kinger89383670d ago

I still dont see it personally. And as above have said, its still cross gen so hardly pushing boundries (not that any game has just yet)

Fradric3670d ago

The games graphics look great and so does the gameplay, but when I get I'll probaly spend must of my time causing car crashes by changing the steet lights :)

Adrian_v013669d ago

Car crashes would be much more fun if the damage to the vehicles was more realistic.

Watch Dogs Deserves A Remake, More Than Ever

With the world of information and technology, privacy and security growing every day, Watch Dogs deserves another chance in the spotlight, now more than ever.

RaidenBlack1047d ago

The only Ubi title that deserves a faithful remake right now is Splinter Cell 1.
All 2014+ Ubi titles are just underwhelming. Especially ones from 2016+ are just cancer.

LucasRuinedChildhood1047d ago (Edited 1047d ago )

Seriously, are we so far removed from Ubisoft actually making good games that people now praise Watch_Dogs in retrospect?

"Watch_Dogs has remained one of my favourite games of the last ten years." Jesus Christ.

HankHill1047d ago

I remember being so disappointed in Watch Dogs when I played it at release. It was alright, but I think I fell for the hype and I needed a game to play on my new PS4.

obidanshinobi1047d ago

This is what happens when mediocrity gets praised as good.
Standards are slipping across the whole entertainment industry.
What was once considering rubbish is now considered as OK, what once was OK is now being praised as good etc etc.

LamerTamer1047d ago

Everyone has their own likes. I liked it a lot myself. I played through it twice and liked the car chases and the open world with fairly decent environments and missions. It suffered from the whole downgrade thing where they showed graphics that weren't actually there. No game will appeal to everyone but it was still ambitious for it's time.

gantarat1047d ago

assassin's creed 1 should get a remake.

ExBee1047d ago

For certain! AC1 was brilliant at the time but with new graphics and gameplay it would be amazing! Do you prefer old combat or new though?

RaidenBlack1047d ago

I'd say a reimagining of AC1.
I direct AC1 remake would be a bad idea. It'll need better story pacing and significant better world building.

BlaqMagiq11047d ago

Old. Let it play like how it did with AC2-Syndicate style gameplay but refine the setting and story.

Profchaos1047d ago

It would need a lot changed for it to be enjoyable again as even back in 2007 on launch we were all complaining about it's repetitive gameplay go here perform one of three side quests repeat then assassination now do it over and over until a big battle with a unforgiving checkpoint system.

BlaqMagiq11047d ago

Absolutely. It needs it. The only AC I truly didn't enjoy.

chicken_in_the_corn1046d ago

I'd prefer it didn't. Ubisoft would make it so bloated, it wouldn't be anywhere near the original

smolinsk1047d ago (Edited 1047d ago )

Absolutely, this watch dogs legion was terrible boring.

Profchaos1047d ago (Edited 1047d ago )

As a fan of the franchise legion was garbage and I regretted my purchase for the first time in the franchise the entire thing felt like an experiment in NPC behaviour and released without the writers input on what makes a good story.

I don't think I'm alone in that feeling though as wrench and Aiden are brought back and the campaign was rewritten to fit them.

I am tempted to buy the season pass to play it again with Aiden but fool me twice shame on me I'm waiting for a deep sale

camel_toad1047d ago

Agreed. Despite the annoying hipness of the characters in part 2 I thought it was a really fun game. I was extremely disappointed and surprised at how many steps back they took with Legion. You'd think it was made by an entirely different team. Or was it?

It was just so devoid of fun.

LamerTamer1047d ago

Honestly one of my biggest annoyances with Legion is that they took out the camera views for the driving. I mean the behind the car view that they stuck us with is near unplayable. I always used a first person driving view. After two releases why did they take OUT features? I don't get it.

TheSinsibleOne1047d ago

The fist watchdog game was the best by far
After that they weren't weird and annoying with that hipster stuff. Aiden was a badass.

LamerTamer1047d ago

I thought so at first too. I got used to it and it ended up being good after some play time. I just had to give it a chance.

TheEnigma3131047d ago

Remake the PoP series from xbox/ps2/gc era

RaidenBlack1047d ago

They are remaking Sands of Time.

TheEnigma3131047d ago

That's good news. Hopefully it's done right.

Inside the Driver game that died so that Watch Dogs could live

From VG247: "When cars slide, they leave tyre marks. In a game like Driver, they’re an aesthetic touch, part of the inherent cool of a handbrake turn. But those dark shadows in the road also tell a story. From tyre marks, you can determine the speed of a vehicle, when it started to skid, and its ultimate direction of travel – long after the car itself has vanished into the distance."

vallencer1112d ago

Different spellings in different parts of the world friend. Tyre is a correct way to spell it.

Pridefall1111d ago

Dunno why you got downvpted when tyre is correct in Australia.

mikefizzled11111d ago

The mystery that is En Fore Gee

neutralgamer19921112d ago

Give us driver San Francisco remastered

IGiveHugs2NakedWomen1112d ago

Why did they stop making some of the best games ever? Driver was one of them.

Gameseeker_Frampt1111d ago

Assassins Creed 2 showed Ubisoft how to make money and Far Cry 2 showed them that gamers don't like complex ideas. Now Ubisoft just turns out games that are just variations of the same thing.

WeAreLegion1112d ago

Best driving mechanics ever made. Nothing has come close.

Gardenia1112d ago

A story driven game with pure driving gameplay. I'd love to see a new Driver game or a remake of the first one.

ApocalypseShadow1112d ago

Yes. This one. A definite remake of the first without adding any ridiculous fluff. The first game had great physics and sound for its time. The start of the car in the beginning cinema I watched constantly. My father and uncles were big muscle and classic car freaks. Only thing crazy about the game was the relentless cops in the last level. Insane the way those police cars were and launched at you.

Bleemcast made it look better just like PC emulators. But would definitely take a remake.
