I just finished this last night. Definitely ranks up there with my all time favorites. Just a wonderful game through and through.

Will never forget it.

How are the gameplay mechanics ansand story? I'm very interested in this.

Both the story and gameplay are done in a very simplistic way, but they do it perfectly. For example, most of the story is done in old style jrpg subtitle style, but every part of the story is told so that it rhymes. The characters are very endearing. Gameplay also pays homage to old school jrpg's but done very well. I cannot recommend this game enough!

Plan on getting this. My backlog is just insane. Over 15 games I haven't even played yet.
