A Letter To My Ten-Year-Old Self, Regarding The Game Child of Light | The Mary Sue

The Mary Sue: "Child of Light is rather like Final Fantasy, gameplay-wise, but it’s much more accessible to newcomers. I wish you could’ve cut your teeth on something like this. It’s a great entry-level game (and not just for kids—I think grown-ups who have never played an RPG before would do well in starting here)."

Mixed reviews for this game. I think the art style is fantastic.

More like generally positive reviews.

I haven't gotten it yet, but from all the reviews I've seen most of them are 8-10/10 or 4-5/5. I saw maybe one or two lower reviews.

I think you'll enjoy it when you get it.

The art style is amazing. You'll find yourself just not moving and taking in the scenery xD

Battle system is fun and surprisingly deep. As you unlock new characters you'll gain access to different abilities. You can switch out characters as and when needed (when it's their turn to act) to suit the situation of the battle. You can use two party members at a time.

The music is great, too. Highly recommended giving it a go when you get the chance.

Thanks for the info. Good to hear coming from another gamer rather than just a review. I'll be picking it up soon.

I played the demo and enjoyed it, the game is gorgeous, it reminds me a bit of the artwork of Brian Froud or Patrick Woodroffe

Not the type of game I'd buy but it's worth looking at.

Embark on a new journey in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night as Child of Light’s, Aurora
