Game Informer - Activision has never been afraid to embrace the future with the Call of Duty franchise. When World War II fatigue set in, it reinvigorated the series and brought its timeline forward with the classic Modern Warfare. It allowed Treyarch the chance to get creative with the franchise, resulting in the well-received Black Ops games.
Former director at Activision, Bret Robbins, revealed that Advanced Warfare 2 had a working prototype, but it was eventually shelved for COD WWII.
That is a shame. AW is my favourite CoD. I hope they do a sequel one day.
I still prefer CoD based on historical settings or in near future settings(like CoD: Ghost) ... even though I liked infinite Warfare's campaign ... it was top notch
Game Rant Writes "With rumors swirling about a sequel to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Sledgehammer Games can bring back a few weapons for a modern encore."
GR: "If one series truly defined the seventh generation of consoles it was Call of Duty. Sadly, the series has struggled to reach the same heights on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and only Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare feels like the previous era of innovation and top-notch storytelling."
I quite enjoyed it but I think black ops 3 was the high point.
Modern warfare could be if a few tweaks are made and the new maps are good.
The campaign was OK, but the guns sounded like cap guns and the multiplayer maps were not memorable at all.
Look at that bridge...Magneto must be the villain.
Don't forget to add the coverage trailer!
While I found the trailer to be interesting its pretty unlikely that cod will change all that much. Many people will still scream cut and paste rants once they show real gameplay scenarios. And mostly they're probably going to be right. Only this time they'll also be copy and pasting from Titanfall.
I suspect the only reason this is gameinformers cover is because cod generates a crap ton of revenue for gamestop.
Activision have never been afraid to embrace the future in COD. Except with the game engine that's 15 years old. Kevin Spacey's face looks so bad lol
They could do one thing to show us how serious they r this yr. Release a damn beta. I understand that they r in the unique situation of being one of the few games that can be hurt by a beta, but it would go a long way to both creating a better game and showing us that they r confident with it.
