Dragon Age: Inquisition finally has a release date thanks to a new gameplay trailer – which also showcased the snazziness of the cross-gen visuals. If you paid close attention to the end though you might have noticed something even more interesting, namely the full roster of characters that appear in the game.
Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.
Amazon announced a partnership with Electronic Arts to deliver even more free games and in-game content to Prime Gaming subscribers.
Amazon announced the Prime Gaming gifts for the month of November: Control Ultimate Edition, Dragon Age Inquisition, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and more.
The quality of these free games has been awesome. Before anyone says they are not free I was already giving Amazon $6 a month for prime shipping and video this isn't why I pay for my subscription
How does Prime Gaming work? Do you keep the games, or is it only as long as you have Prime?
lol Nice distraction from how they're now charging people to increase viewership. It's "just an option." /wink lol
Leliana was definitely one of the best characters in Origins, and it was a shame she wasn't back as a playable party member for DA2 (I think she had a small playable part in one of the DLC). Having her back, and in a prominent party role, would be nice.
Varric was the other "must-have" return character, and the best character in DA2, so it's good we already knew he was back. Hopefully Merril will at least make a cameo, as I really liked her as well.
Isabel was another great character, but I could never really get her to fit in a group (she kind of sucked).
I'm curious how Cassandra will be. I liked her from the brief interludes in DA2, and I would assume she's a tankish character. Would be hard for her to be less interesting than Adeline.
Obviously the most important character will be the main character, the Inquisitor. Hawke had potential, but the closed off city (for the most part) and small scale of DA2 really hurt the character. Origins did it right as being one of the only Wardens in the area, making him/her very relevant and integral to the story, not just important because they are super strong (Hawke). The Inquisitor, just from the name, makes me think the character will be much closer in importance to the Warden, thus much easier to build a story around.
Anyway, as much of a letdown as DA2 was (I still enjoyed it), I'm very excited for DA3.
i am very excited it looks like bioware have finally listened to what the fans really want, hopefully this will be the beginning of some great RPG's
Kind of offtopic but I never played the other 2, mostly because of the lack of time, but this gen I really want to pick up Dragon Age, the only thing that is holding me back is if we need to play the other two or is this a seperated story line?? I dont have the time to go back and play the first two..
Leliana returning isn't really a surprise. She has turned up in both games and in two of the four novels. Also, (DA2 Spoilers) she appears with Cassandra at the end of DA2 attempting to find the Champion of Kirkwall with the Seekers.
On a lesser note, I'm not sold that the rogue is Cole for DA: Asunder, but I would like the unnamed mage to be Rhys. I found him to be a more interesting character and he would serve as a nice counter-point to the Anders brand of "freedom-fighting".
