Haze is getting some pretty bad reviews right now. Free Radical really should wait before new scans get out as they are not in many people's good books right now. Maybe they are trying to redeem themselves? The Timesplitter series has always been pretty good though.

I think it's a shame if it does reflect badly on them.

It's not like there was anything actually frustrating about the game, it was just lackluster.

TimeSplitters could be lackluster and the mixture of FPS and their trademark art style coudl easily redeem it.

It's just a shame that crazy art styles are becoming fashionable for series that never used to use them. Jumping on the bandwagon (by other games) may overshadow TS4.

As long as it has offline multiplayer, then it will be fine. TimeSplitters is legendary for that.

Made the mistakes and now hopefully learn from them.
I think this is going multi platform (according to IGN) and Im hoping they have gotten over the teething problems with programming for the powerhouse that is the PS3.

So when both versions are released there wont be a massive difference in quality, fingers crossed.
PS3 needs to be given a decent break and developers need to do its power justice.

at the moment I've got as far as the switch from Mantel to Red Hand. I can see why it has gotten so much bad press. The graphics in places are very ps2 looking. I'm such a big Free Radical fan that I was shocked by the level of some of the textures and I still haven't been able to play online.

I'm still plodding through HAZE and I'm keeping an open mind on the game until I've completed it (it has some nice gameplay and ideas to it) but if Timesplitters is not slated in at 1080p with vast improvements on the engine used for HAZE, I don't hold out much hope for Free Radicals future FPS releases.

Sad to see a house of their stature release anything second rate.

Ye every publisher has the odd bad game. Forget haze and just remeber how happy you felt playing timesplitters 2 in multiplayer with four of your mates. By being the monkey you were almost cheating

TimeSplitters 3 was a single and multiplayer masterpiece. Hopefully they put Haze behind and focus on a real and worthy T4.

Yup Timesplitters is one of those action masterpieces. It's simply pure fun to have with friends or even alone with the nearly infinite replay value (arcade leagues, challenges...)

The game had so much content! and was the only game to feature a level editor in a FPS on consoles. The 4 player player games were a blast too.

after listening to FR endless hype (and delays) with haze; i'm not buying anymore of their propaganda (haze is mediocre at best). it (TS4) probably will be delayed till 2010 and won't live up to expectations.

one of my absolute fav franchises from last gen. lets hope they make a sweet multiplayer like they always do. man timesplitters!!!! im so pumped. they better have the virus mode i loved that.

That would be cool, Haze is really fun to play with friends and some bots or against other online. But the graphic is questionable and the ai could need some polishing. But i still believe haze is an underrated game, to me it´s an 7.5..

Screw Free Radical. Haze was okay, but they talked a lot of smack and then dropped a bomb. They disrespected the gamerbase and told us all to shut up and wait when they couldn't justify the del-aze and now they're right back on the horse with Timesplitters 4, a game they couldn't shut up about during Haze's development.

Something tells me that FR were more concerned with this game than Haze during dev time. That to me is a bit of an insult as someone who was looking forward to Haze. Like Level 5, Free Radical has lost my respect and NEED to release something AAA and necessary for me to ever consider purchasing one of their games again.

I completely agree. It seems like HAZE was a side project compared to TS4 for Free Radical. HAZE isn't a bad game...it's definitely not a great game though either. It's a decent game but considering the dev. interviews and the hype about it and delays they should have delivered a better product. Now im not looking forward to TS4 at all.

One more try and these guys will be making Wii FPS. From the looks of it people are having a hard time making their games look good with out loads of money thrown behind them. As of now their are too many kings of the FPS genre out right now. Part of the success of golden eye was due to the microcosm that was the N64. Perfect dark was it's only competition. Now console gaming FPS wise has reach new heights and it's going to take a real budget to build your games now. Factor 5 enjoy sucks on the GC because no one came close to them graphically on the GC. Yet on the PS3 they where dragged on the floor. Part of being big is knowing what you can and can't do.

IAS just imagine if free radical and factor worked together. Tech by factor 5 and game play by FR... But I've yet to play haze so I'm not sure if the game play can save it from what I hear. If they can get better graphics then they will be fine but PS2 graphics are harsh! Maybe they should make stuff for the Wii before it's too late? I'm not sure how they are structured internally but they need to bring in money bad. I'm a fan of these guys yet they need money to stay afloat.
