"So recently I learned the secret behind the towel trick. Most of you already know this one; wrap a large towel or two around your 360, let it overheat and BANG! no more red ring of death. This works because the heat welds something inside, I'm really too stupid to know what, but it welds it and is basically a temporary fix. This was interesting because I had countless people tell me that the towel trick is actually a method to STOP it from overheating. I was just as dumbfounded as you were, because obviously the towel will make it melt in a fiery cesspool of death...somewhat like that."
