VGB reports that Devil May Cry 4 producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi said back at E3 2007 that he wanted to make Devil May Cry 5 if Capcom let him. It now seems all but certain Capcom wants a sequel with Capcom president Haruhiro Tsujimoto this week announcing Devil May Cry 4's record sales of over 2 million units worldwide saying "We hope to continue meeting and exceeding the expectations of gamers with our dedication to developing solid titles for the best gaming platforms available."
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
Huzaifah from eXputer: "Devil May Cry 5, the latest iteration in the iconic DMC franchise by Capcom, still holds its own as a fantastic hack-and-slash in 2024."
NVIDIA continues to add games to GeForce NOW. This week, Devil May Cry 5, Gears Tactics, and The Crew Motorfest lead the charge.
DMC4 was dumbed down for X360
the PS3 exclusive DEMO at TGS 06 had 2x as many enemies on screen as the final game
CAPCOM ...PS3 will have surpassed x360's ww BASE by 2008 so please make this PS3 exclusive and make it a TRUE NEXT GEN game
It's not on my mind, lol.
I hope it's just as awesome as DMC3. Even though I liked DMC4, it didn't really compare with DMC3.
talking the "360 dumbed it down" nonsense (check open zone)
Remember when DMC4 was a plysatation 3 exclusive it looked very average graphically.
I didnt look bad but the graphics were completely unimpressing.
When it went multiplat , the game started looking better and better.Im sure its not because it went multi but the fact that it looked very averge when it was a ps3 exclusive just proves that the 360 didnt "dumb it down" since on the ps3 already it looked nothing special.
Moreover I personnaly think that the differances are almost unexistant between he 360 and PS3 version but if youre a whor3 for graphics you have to admit you cant say in any case the ps3 version looks better.
So how could did the 360 dumb it down since the 360 version looks better than the PS3 exclusive DMC4 version(the multiplat version look the same)
BY the way DMC4 was cool.
Screw DMC5 at this point, RE5 is on my mind. Get at it, Capcom.
