When is this game coming out??? Curses to the 360 and their xbox live file size that delayed the game

freakyzeeky5829d ago

not to mention the downgraded sprites... :\

pwnsause5829d ago

its releasing sometime this summer.

Omegasyde5829d ago

summer?

For a 2d game this game took way too long in development. They had better not nerfed Dahlism or ryu. I do hope they nerfed Zangief, that hairy bastard.

dragunrising5829d ago

You are forgetting that the Xbox Live Arcade size limit was increased in part because of this game. There wasn't any sacrifice to the integrity of the game. Sonarus is right in regards to the reason for the delay; Capcom had to force the hand of Microsoft to allow an exception in game size. Originally, this game was to be the only exception in the immediate future. To save developers the hassle they put Capcom through they upped the size for everyone. Good choice I think. The question is...which version to get...? Better online (Xbox) or better controls (PS3)? Tough decision. If I ultimately choose to get the 360 version I might have to mod the controller so the D-pad doesn't stick. There was an article a while back on how to do this. Here's the link: http://www.ufighterx.com/gu...

The website basically walks you through the process of taking apart your 360 controller, sanding the plastic wall the D-pad strikes, and putting it back together...better than new. Thought people would find this useful.

anyone who wants to get taught please add me. I'm giving out lessons in this game!

pwnsause5829d ago

the online will be the same with the only difference that the 360 version gets achievements and your able to invite your freinds since the 360 has the in-game dashboard menu, unless the PS3 gets the trophies and in-game communication in time, i theres that rumor floating around stating that sony will release in-game communication and Trophies on the next firmware update to get it ready for MGS4.

Dear Capcom,
After you released SSFIITHDR, get your ass up and remake Street Fighter 3: Third Strike. Thank you.

EDIT: I just realized something... Capcom, can you make a Street Fighter that's name even in short form isn't longer than some games full name? I mean SSFIITHDR is quite a lot letters.

StrboyM5829d ago

this looks awesome...some of you better not let me catch you online...or its lights out..pow!!

KLEPTOMANIAC5829d ago

seriously.. how many street fighter 2 sequels can they possibly make. its like the friday the thirteenth franchise. every one is just a different remake of the former.
street fighter 2,
street fighter 2: dash turbo,
street fighter 2: the world warrior,
street fighter 2: championship edition,
super street fighter 2
super street fighter 2: the new challengers
super street fighter 2: turbo,
hyper street fighter 2: anniversary edition,

AND now street fighter 2: turbo HD remix

i think they milked that game farr too much.
just bring out street fighter 4 and leave 2 alone.

pwnsause5829d ago

with the power of next-gen consoles, thats not going to be necessary anymore. you have to realize that back in the day when they wanted to rebalance, they had to come out with a new version of the same game, not to mention bring some add on on the the side to justify the sale, now with the power to update games with internet connected console with on-board memory (ex. HDD,Memory units, etc) they dont have to do this anymore.

This game should have released last Christmas.

Pffft. What desperate articles

I played street fighter 2 for years on my SNES even after I got my N64. It was just relaxing the way you could beat the snot out of such iconic characters.

Persona 5, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD & Virtua Fighter 5 are almost playable on RPCS3

Great news for all PS3 fans (blasphemyyyyyyyy, how can a PC gaming site talk about PS3 fans, how, HOW, HOOOOOOWWWWW) as RPCS3 is making a lot of progress. Since the launch of a Patreon campaign, its author has been working hard on it and it appears that its latest version can run a couple of games.

If they had more PS4 games I would've taken advantage of this.

triverse2800d ago

I have to agree. I wish companies would do more porting of their previous digital only games such as Final Fight Double Impact over to the PS4. I want to get a Playstation but 3 seems on the way out and 4 is still too new for a lot of what I am interested in.

NapalmSanctuary2800d ago (Edited 2800d ago )

I wish they would port their full classic line brawlers from the 90s. Man, they made some good games back then.

triverse2800d ago

Napalm, check out their PSP Reloaded and Remixed collections. Great value for the money and full of their core retro games. I am not sure what consoles they released those collections on but I am sure PS3 and Xbox 360 were in there.

just-joe2800d ago

Or say if the PS4 was backwards compatible.

triverse2800d ago

Well, we know that is not going to happen anytime soon, at least not till people stop buying PS3 games and such. Sad. I wish it was backwards compatible too- I would buy a PS4 immediately if it worked with at least the digital stuff from the PS3.

DivineAssault 2800d ago

I wish Sony would get the licenses for all the classic arcade games from the 80s and 90s for the PS4.. I dont see why they wouldnt want to make money? I miss those brawlers like xmen, tmnt, etc.. So many great games people are forced to play on mame

triverse2800d ago

The problem with that idea is that a lot of those companies are now defunct and no one really knows who owns the rights to what game. Then in cases like X-Men, it is multiple companies involved (the engine would be Konami's while the actual X-Men license would be Marvel's) and sometimes none of the companies involved are interested in working together again for whatever reason.

I wish it would happen too though.
