GTA IV Modded Looks Insanely Beautiful With Cars Rivaling Those Of Next-Gen Racing Games

That's the thing the frame rate sucks , I bet you the "screen shots" aren't really screen shots they are full motion 1080p video , it's just the fps is that low it looks like screen shots

Agreed, i still don't understand what insipired them to go with such a dark serious tone after Vice City and San Andreas, even Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories were fun games with quite a lot of humor.

Little things like being able to stand on top of moving cars were fun as well, now you just slide off when the car starts moving.

I don't mind some realism but i think too much of it ruins the fun.

I wouldn't mind at all if the next Gta was vice city, the neon lights, the sparkly ocean water. Has to be in the 80/90's though, not modern era.

Don't brush this under the rug dude. GTA IV is plenty of fun to play. And, with mods, it pretty much looks better than a hybrid of Infamous:SS and Forza 5. In fact, just the fact that it is such an old game, with many more things to actually see and DO than Infamous:SS AND Forza 5 combined, speaks alot.

What are you talking about? GTA IV was an incredibly dull and boring installment in an otherwise flawless series of games. GTA V restored the humour, style and fun of what the franchise was made famous for. GTA IV on the other hand was far too up it's own arse with being serious and grimdark. It focused too much on being depressing and personally, I felt was a considerable downgrade from San Andreas.

Outside of the main missions, what is there to really do in GTA IV that's actually 'fun'?

But besides that, how many more stories do we need about how good GTA IV can look?

Dude, there's more to do outside of the main missions than most games, between bowling, races, darts, the qubed arcade game, police side missions, dating, just cruising around and causing havoc and going on killing sprees to see how long you can last/outrun/slaughter cops and civilians etc, the game has much more to do than you are giving credit for.. it's irrelevant to mention past GTA games, since they don't have the mods/ capabilities to look fancy like gta IV does, not even close... You may not like the plot or whatever, but honestly, the cheesy stuff being your favorite says a lot about whether or not you understand the game and where your basis for "Fun" lies.. Go play something fun if you don't like the "Fun Factor" in GTA 4. This article is about graphics anyway.

I bought this game for like $5 on steam. I've never once played it because every single time I go to load it, it force closes. I've tried everything and than gave up. Sucks I wanted to try these mods :(

It was my first GTA game and I loved it. I played it for 3 years before I finished the campaign, just cruising around starting shit with the cops etc.

Graphics can only get you so far until you realize just how shitty the character movement and car handling is.

Thank god GTA V fixed the car handling at least.

The car models are ripped out of other games so that's pretty much why they look so good.

But with mods, this game is nothing more than a program for taking nice screenshots.

The game itself runs like crap, is buggy and boring.

I like that we are getting MOD information on N4G! GTAIV mods are awesome, If you actually played GTAIV PC mods then some of YOU would know that. GTAIV PC has lots to offer after the vanilla game. The ICe mod graphics are insane. The Avengers mod is incredible.

What's with all the hate on gta 4. "Oh good graphics, but the game sucks." People blindly ignore the amazing euphoria physics this game displays, and attention to the tiniest details that still rival most open world games today, and bash the game by comparing it to San Andreas. GTA 4 may not have dildos, planes, or the GYM, but it fostered the series in storytelling, animation, and graphics (at the time). Let's not forget GTA 4 (a 2008 game) has better physics and vehicular crash effects than any other multiplatform game of today. Pathetic. Even GTA V didn't use euphoria's full potential, felt more like crummy Havok physics to me. Everyone's complaining that the "animation sucks", well the game is 6 years old, it doesn't look as good as it did in its prime; obviously, so it's almost an ignorant and non plausible insult.
