The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Video Game First Gameplay Footage

The first gameplay footage for the upcoming Spider man game, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been released.

The first Amazing Spider Man was pretty sweet. I liked the web rush mechanics and the Arkham styled fighting. The web-swinging was alright even though the webs didn't directly attach to anything around you.

I can't really tell from the trailer, but it seems that web-swinging might be influenced by what's around you, and it looks like they improved the animations and city by a bunch as well. Could be the Spiderman we've been waiting for, although it's what we've both been hoping since Spiderman 2 released.

yeah i also remember collecting all of the comic books spread around the city to unlock the black suit. ultimate spiderman, spiderman 2 & 3 and web of shadows were my favourite spiderman games

Wow I'm surpirsed that people didnt like ultimate spiderman game. We got the comic book art style with good combat and web swinging the actually had you swinging from a physical object and not the clouds.

Exactly, have to agree, I haven't played all the Spider-Man games, but Ultimate Spiderman and the Spiderman from the PS1 era were the best to me.

I didn't know they changed the combat system so much with Amazing Spider-Man will buy it when it is on sale, you know Activision keeping their titles at full prices even years after release.

Well, this looks KINDA promising; the combat looks competently ripped off of Batman and the webswinging looks like it MIGHT be physically based and not swinging from clouds. I mean, it's worrying that they think we want to see 80% of the footage as indoor parts,but still.

I'm a big fans of Spidey, but after looking at inFamous 2nd Son and Arkham Knight, i hope someday Sucker Punch or Rocksteady will make one / two games for Spidey and give him a much better treatment than this crap :'(

I hate how close the camera is to Spidey, in Spider-Man 2 it was fixed just right it made web slinging more exiting given your field of view, that and why do the graphics have this sepia filter look to it ?

These guys just need to go look at spiderman 2 on Ps2 and get the idea of what a true spiderman game should be like. It aint that hard

The footage in the next gen gameplay trailer (I think it was next gen) looked better andbthe details that came out of gdc sounded promising. Physics based web swinging. Having direct control over left and right web shooters via trigger and the combat info all sounded good. Plus new yorks been done properly I hear and more of the game involves outside stuff now. We shall have to see how it ultimately turns out but its a shame treyarch only make COD games now their spiderman 2 on ps2 was awesome and even the then next gen (ps3/xbox 360) version of spiderman 3 which seemed to be more of what spiderman 2 had :( its such a shame if this turns out to be crappy.

I like the first The Amazing Spiderman game, it was close to my favorite SpiderMan 2 on GameCube :)

I enjoyed the first, but I hate that almost everything is indoors. Platinumed it on Vita back in January. It's fun, but Web of Shadows is still the best effort by this team.

Thats never going to happen. Rocksteady is owned by WB who hndles all DC merchandising, Marvel rights are over at Activision

This is got to be the worst looking Spider-Man I ever seen.

Spider-Man's animation are choppy. His movement are clumsy looking as well.

Spider-Man web swinging doesn't look no where near as good as the movie.

The textures need a lot of work. everything looks bland.

Total fail.
