I think VR is a good idea, but I don't think it will be the future of gaming until I'm convinced. The Oculus is ok..... (Never play Slender: The Arrival on that thing) But I won't throw away my TV to use it 24/7.

I think that over the next ten years VR is going to integrate it in our lives in a similar fashion as touchscreen technology has.
The more VR is used outside of gaming the better use we will see of it in games. Off course the tech could also take the route of 3D
