Go back to your pay to win games were you need to spend thousands of euro to be useful.

IMO, subscription MMOs are better. Most F2P MMOs end up being more expensive than subscription based one. In the majority of F2P MMOs, you need to pay money to get most of the items that are useful and you will often hit walls that encourage you to cough up more dough.

I rather pay monthly and get everything and have them update it with new content as we go along.

U might be wrong. Trust me. I would rather pay $15/month to keep microtransactions out of my mmo for as long as possible. Its much cheaper than the $100 u may be spending instead.

I know that $15 may seem like a lot...but it isnt for a game that u will play hundreds of hrs every month.

But, unlike retail games, mmos are always growing and changing, needing large teams at all times. How do u think this gets paid for? Through nickel and diming. Hell, it isnt even that anymore when u spend $100 on in game cash.

Subscriptions are ok for those with time to dedicate. There are those who want to play as well, I only could manage about an hour or 2 on Saturday because my schedule is so full. I bought ffxiv, it was fun for the time I played, but I didn't subscribe because a fun game is a fun game and other fun, subscription free games filled the void.

The free-to-play business model has been and will only continue to go down the very dark road of aggressive monetization. The games are intentionally designed around getting player's to spend real money; they do so by making the whole experience a grind, and include convenience items (that you must spend real money to purchase) to speed up that intentionally created grind; they also include premium item (only purchasable with real money) feeding on a player's 'wants'; they may even intentionally make you lose. And there is also the entire psychological aspect; such as constantly spamming you with very small, unmeaningful rewards.

He doesn't like it because Blacklight is a total monitary failure compared to warframe or dcuo. Im sure you all have played those games. Planetside is the perfect model that works and is not pay 2 win.

Yep one game I thought was immune was loadout until I played a paying customer that was basically one shot indestructible guy, cut through our team like we had thrown feathers at him all I could muster at the end of the game was well paid my friend well paid. Free to play or free to be fodder for the players that pay.

well TF2 and Dota 2 does the same thing tho really.
in Dota there is just skins and outfits and other cosmetic items, nothing that adds to the gameplay really. yet, armor makers make thousands of thousands of USD of it.

Totally agree with TF2 it is one free to play game that is not a grind at all level playing field , as for Dota I deleted it not my thing.

yeah Dota isnt for everyone. alot to learn before you are mentally ready for your first match and the training quests you get doesnt really do a great job learning new players.
with now 107 different heroes witch is different and unique in each of their own right and with 128 items to pick up and buy in a game it can be info overload for alot of people.

if you play the game for the first time alone you will have a hard and bad time most likely, i didnt but i also learned alot from videos and such before my first match.
have a friend on comms with you telling you what is good and whats not is a must really.

Dota is a game where you play the same map every time you play, yet its not boring at all. its always fun. yes loosing is hard when you waste like 50min of your time, but the important thing is to learn from what you did and try to do it better in the next match.

with 1100 hours of gametime comming up on me soon i still learn new things all the time, strats, item combos and skill builds and just hero matchups aswell. its a fun game if you fall for it and likes a challenge in gaming.
but the best way to play is with a group of 3-5 friends and you will most likely win if you got the basics and the understanding of the hero right.
