Borderlands 2 Trophies Can Be Carried From PS3 To PSVita And Back

The Trophies for Borderlands 2 can be transferred from the PlayStation 3 version to the PlayStation Vita one and back.

This it the thing I hate. When a ps3/vita/ps4 game is on 2 or more ps systems and it has a shared trophy pool. Buy 2 games, get 1 trophy pool. Borderlands 2 got it right. If trophies are not your thing, disregard. But games like ffx, dragons crown and terraria blew it. If the trophies are shared, the expense should be too. Make it cross buy then or split the trophies.

Your platinum is going to be devalued. People will just reassign someone else's gave save and import it into the game.

Yeah, it could've been worded a bit better. From what it says, it sounds like, for example, you unlock them on the vita, then they're available on the ps3... then you can "put them back" on the vita... "and back" wasn't a very good term to use, haha! But nevertheless, lovely article! Psyched!

I never understood the point of Trophies & Achievements.

They've never made me want to play a game any more and I don't even pay attention to them.

* Are they to brag or is it more of a collectors item type of thing that can be carried from console to console ?

personal accomplishments and bragging rights.
it also shows whos a hardcore gamer, whos a core gamer and thos who just play cod online.
it dosent mean much but i wont friend someone who has less than 5 level on psn. i'm level 16 and youd be surprised how many will comment on you trophy level.

They're just personal accomplishments. Some obviously take them more seriously than others, but a lot of trophies have you do things that you normally wouldn't do, or other things that ask you to go above and beyond the standard gameplay. They can be as simple as collecting as many as you want or they can be badges of honor. Nothing complex about it.

I'm a bit of a trophy hunter. %99 of games I play like anyone else would 1st go around but if I enjoy the game then I will go again but for the trophies. gives me good replay value as I more and likely would of traded it in

That's the same thing I'm thinking. Wouldn't this be bad for people that whored ( think I misspelled ). Or would it be good for getting to the plat. I never cared for trophies . I care for achievements on steam because I can sell them for real money with the trading card system. I could even trade them for equipment tool guns etc.

I have 79 plats. All from games I enjoyed. I've been %100-ing games far before trophies & achievements were implemented. I've always completed every challenge and found every collectible (unless too annoying & boring of course). Trophies are just a checklist. That's all. Like finishing a grocery list to the very bottom, you got/saw & did it all. You got your moneys worth.

Although there are gamers who won't play a game they can't platinum. My friend will actually look up games on the internet to see if they are "platinum-able". If not, he won't touch them no matter how badly he wants it. Now that is pathetic & just very sad. I hope gaming never turns into a chore like that for me.
