I wish they had have delayed Dead Island Riptide, it released as a broken POS.

Riptide had a different development team behind it and I think it was a situation where the publisher, seeking a way to finance a real sequel, had a satellite studio pump out a pseudo follow up to the original. Techland have mentioned some rights issues affecting their ability to make "Dead Island 2" as well, and if you ask me, dying light was clearly meant to be the real sequel. To that extent I think the case is still open as to whether Techland learnt their lesson.

I hope they did - dying light looks sweet.

Thank god for that!!. The amount off stuff getting delayed already getting stupid. Owning next gen atm is sucking bad cause off all this i got money to buy games and its burning a hole waiting the games out atm are filler and i hate filler. Thankfully i can still beast on my Ps3 and PC.

When is it intended to release? I thought it was slated for Q1 2014, until I stopped hearing anything about it for a few months now

All they said was 2014. Not what quarter.

Salooh3711d ago

I don't know why but i had the same feeling that they announced it for Q1. >.<

They said first Q1 and then Q2 and then they said they delayed it until 2014 sometime later in. I Think late summer.
