During yesterday’s unveiling of Sony’s Project Morpheus Virtual Reality headset it was briefly mentioned that the experience wouldn’t be limited to first person games, but third person also were a possibility. Today industry insider Ahsan Rasheed, that is normally quite reliable with what is sources tell him, and has been talking about Morpheus for quite a while, gave some more hints on what that could entail.
Cloudhead Games has announced the VOIDSLAYER update for Pistol Whip, adding three new scenes in June for all supported platforms.

I would be sad I'd it were 1st person only games. The immersion for me doesn't come just from looking through the eyes of the character but by just being in the world and seeing nothing else of the real world. 3Rd person games can work perfectly fine. I'm looking forward to watching movies too. They don't need to be in 1st person, although maniac would be awesome.
