VG247: Ubisoft has refused to comment on a story this morning that claimed Splinter Cell Conviction had been put on hold.
"There is no official comment on this story, which is based on a purely speculative news piece," said a spokesperson.
Darren writes: "Splinter Cell: Double Agent certainly wasn’t afraid to tread new ground in 2006, introducing events that would change the series forever."
Microsoft presented a new batch of Xbox 360 games that received Xbox One X enhancements via Xbox One backward compatibility, and here you can watch how they run.
Nothing wrong with more games. As someone who just fundamentally hates xbox, I am pretty jelly that xbox gamers get real BC.
Finally ninja gaiden 2 is BC, I've been waiting on this since they announced BC.
Ninja Gaiden 2 is the main game I wanted bcthen alone one x enchanced is this game is more fun than bloodborne
Amazing news! NG2!?!? Three Splinter Cell games!!! Fable 2&3 (the first is already enhanced)!!! This is what separates Microsoft's version of BC from others...its that they enhance both the performance and visual quality of these titles to keep them current in a lot of cases, instead of playing them exactly how they played and performed back in the day. Whats even better...I don't need to do ANYTHING but download the new patch...amazing.👏
Keep it coming Xbox!
Splinter Cell Blacklist and Splinter Cell Double Agent join the Xbox One backwards compatibility list. Xbox One is the home of Sam Fisher, it would seem.
Absolutely loved Blacklist. My favourite game in the series. I only have the PS3 version though, so sadly I won't get to take advantage of this BC, unless a good sale comes along.
I was thinking just yesterday that I hadn't heard anything for ages about this. Possibly that's why...
Splinter Cell Conviction is being delayed due to Ubisoft's realization of the limits of Xbox 360's hardware. To further the development process, it's likely that this is being ported to PLAYSTATION®3 to recoup development costs and maximize development potential.
No Splinter Cell game has ever been exclusive to any specific console. Only timed. Dark Sniper can pick any prior Splinter Cell game up on his industry leading PlayStation® 2 or Gamecube units respectively. Grand Theft Auto has always been a multiplatform game, each iteration is available on Xbox platforms disrespectfully. So this follows a typical trend of Microsoft losing another exclusive.
This game was one of the premiere games Microslaves were looking foward to. Due to their preliminary and incoherent rambling, Microlaves at N4G are being punished by feasting their eyes on this title being delayed on their Waitbox 360 due to the superior PLAYSTATION®3 version secretly in development. This spells another lost exclusive for Microsoft's platform.
Ubisoft decided to Wait In while they Play B3YOND. The world is slowly following in their footsteps.
Live In Your World. Play In Ours.
