Because it doesn't use the cloud

Ezz20133733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

now i know the truth about microsoft and dem clouds
its all part of their evil plans
think about it
they give kinect which is spying on you to bring your info to them
they give us teh cloud to downgrade our AI by 600%
the truth is
Microsoft are aliens and will invade us soon
hold your loved ones and pray and wait
the end is near

TomShoe3733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

30 FPS sub-720p on a twitch shooter?

Thanks for letting me save my $60. Unacceptable for almost any shooter of any kind. I understand Bluepoint did the best job they could, and I commend them for give it a good effort, but I can't recommend the 360 version over the PC version.

badz1493733d ago

this is still a rumor but even if it's true, what do you expect? MS paid the exclusivity so you will buy Xbone for it, not play it on the 360.

I bet, the decision to make it available on the 360 and PC was EA's, not MS as they might have thought being an Xbone's exclusive might not get them too much sales, just like how they treat their FIFA and Madden franchise, making them available on almost all format available to maximize sales. can't blame them though as Xbone exclusives are struggling to reach even 1 mil.

sonarus3733d ago

Common now. I have to wonder, if this was a downgrade to make xbox one look better which makes sense considering the disappointing version as we'll. also possible just weak devs as I have never heard of the devs that worked on this version.

I don't know why they wouldn't just downgrade the graphical assets to get faster framerate. This is all speculation on my part as this is just rumor but certainly seems fishy to me if true

crxss3733d ago

"We’re still a couple weeks away from the release of the Xbox 360 version of the game, so there’s possibly still room for improvement"

Lol game development doesn't work that way. There's no room for improvement at this point.

4Sh0w3733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

Damm I hope this is another BS rumor even COD runs at 60fps on 360. 30fps for a fast pace shooter like Titanfall is awful.

Why all the BS conspiracy theories instead of the most obvious answer》If true《 it's because it's a bad port by Bluepoint Games.

Microsoft has nothing to do with the 360 port of the game, other than signing Bluepoint to do the port, its probably unfair to be hard on Bluepoint since they've been working off making changes behind Respawn, weaker hardware and no beta on 360, hell everytime Respawn was asked about the 360 version they sounded like they were distancing themselves from it.

UltimateMaster3733d ago

If a game like PvZ Shooter runs at 900p 60fps on X1 and 720p 30fps on the Xbox 360.
Then a game that is 792p 60 fps on X1 should run in 30fps at a lower resolution.
It would make sense.

antz11043732d ago

It's a sad state of affairs when the website has this listed as "hopefully", like they want it to be true. I don't get why people just can't enjoy their games and skip the b.s.

Allsystemgamer3733d ago

Yes it does. So does the PC version

Allsystemgamer3733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

Who's disagreeing? Microsoft and respawnt said it themselves...

Ezz20133733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

nothing is using the cloud

there is more chance of bigfoot and aliens being real than the chances of the cloud being real

blackmanone3733d ago

I think big foot IS blurry... and that's a lot more scary, man, somewhere out there is large out of focus monster running around...

I miss mitch hedberg so much it hurts :(

candoa3733d ago

you better tell companies like apple, google, and microsoft that investing billion on cloud technology, please let it know if your findings.

MRMagoo1233733d ago

@candoa

I think you arent getting what ezz2013 meant, servers are servers and they have been around for ages, the cloud MS have been talking about is supposed to perform magic on games giving them amazing A.I, increasing the console power by 3 times and all the other junk they lied about. We all know cloud servers work for saves and basic stuff like that and even hosting games but to do the things MS pretended they where going to do is magic.

If the azure cloud was that amazing why has it had no impact at all on the games that use it such as Forza and Titanfall, neither are boosted graphicswise fpswise or A.Iwise, all it is is the same old server hosting we have had for a couple decades.

AngelicIceDiamond3733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

@EZ Yeah its called being in denial.

And you have a SEVERE case of it.

Ezz20133733d ago

@AngelicIceDiamond

there is no denial on my part
1. i was joking

2. MS promised that the cloud will give games 600% AI and will improve Graphics
which non of it is true
and turn out that the cloud was just servers nothing more

FITgamer3733d ago

@Axios The 360 versions is also using "the cloud".

"All of Titanfall's AI is reportedly handled by the Azure servers, freeing up processing power of the Xbox 360, Xbox One or PC to "achieve more detailed graphics and the game's silky-smooth frame rate."

http://www.gamespot.com/art...

MRMagoo1233733d ago

Funny they say silkysmooth frame rates lol , they must have a different definition of silky smooth than the rest of the world does.

DaGR8JIBRALTAR3733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO L OLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL O LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLO L OLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL O LOLOLOLOLOL! That explains why the game's framerate bogs down in the thick of battle 40 to 50 precent of the time. Oh..and why graphically it looks like the best 360 game ever made. SMH!

GarrusVakarian3733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

Please tell me you're joking.

The cloud is just dedicated servers.....the AI of Titanfall runs on them....it doesn't make outdated hardware any stronger. If the game runs at those specs on the 360....that's because it's a damn 360, not because of the lack of the cloud.

You have to be joking....that's the only logical explanation for your comment.

u got owned3733d ago

This game is too fast at sub 720p/ 30 fps is going to be blurry mess.

MysticStrummer3733d ago

It uses the same cloud the same way that XB1 and PC do. Respawn said this themselves.

SilentNegotiator3733d ago

If you didn't know, the people agreeing with you thought you were being facetious. Because if you were being joking instead of actually believing that, it would be funny.

Kayant3733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

Oh shit a Mort rumour. Well it's basically official in my eyes. Was fully expecting 60FPS but after the PC/XB1 performance issues at times I guess not.

@Axios2

Looool here we go.

Bigpappy3733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

Frame rates dip on PC when titan battles are on screen also. It is an engine issue. Far from game killing.

nerdman673733d ago

Yeah, I think it is definitely an issue with the servers and the programming.
I mean, WOW can lag when in large cities when it is 60 fps everywhere else because the servers cannot keep up

frostypants3733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

@nerdman67: FPS drops != server lag. FPS is 100% dictated by the client.

yewles13733d ago

Makes sense... *looks at GZ*

iChii3733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

Not to be an a**hole but the face on your avatar is funny..

Edit: I changed it from "i'm not being an a**hole but your face is funny.. " to that to be less a**hole so yw :D

Immorals3733d ago

Not a real surprise. Still gonna be a great game for those who haven't moved onto current gen yet

lets_go_gunners3733d ago

So surprising I was expecting 1080p 90fps with changeable Field of View.

BattleTorn3733d ago (Edited 3733d ago )

I heard it's 1440p, 792fps

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad631d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g631d ago (Edited 631d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games

I played them all, they are all good in their own way
I used to be obsessed with FPS games

An ode to Titanfall: The last twitch shooter I'll probably ever enjoy

Windows Central: "Titanfall 1 is being sunset, taken off storefronts by EA. While the servers remain live for now, one has to wonder just how much time it has left. I look back and pay tribute to the last "twitch"-styled shooter I ever truly loved."

Respawn Entertainment is Discontinuing Sales of Original Titanfall

Sales for the original Titanfall are being discontinued.
It will be pulled from subscription services on March 1, 2022.

Ethereal912d ago

Physical media. Unfortunately the way games are going these days game servers will eventually be shut down and you can stare at the menu and wish you could play the game again.

littletad912d ago

This is why reading is so important. Nothing to do with digital or physical media. The game, which is online only, is being delisted because of DDOS and other hacker attacks. The case got so bad that only six players in the world log on. For PC. Rather than fix it, they continued to sell the game, broken as it is, and only now just decided to call it quits. But please, go on thinking what you will.

Ethereal910d ago

I'm aware of the DDOS attacks and that this case is not typical. This game would eventually have it's servers shutdown regardless of the current situation so that is a moot point. My comment was in a general sense and that there are instances in which games can be preserved physically when official support ends.

Let's recap your first sentence. I said, "the way GAMES are going these days" indicating a broader stroke than just this game. I agree, reading IS important. I was simply stating the obvious downsides of the digital marketplaces and online only trends in games these days. I could even make the argument that the online only offering which has allowed hacker manipulation has impacted the preservation of this great game. My comment is valid in the general sense and thank you for your permission to continue to think what I will.
