DJMMT: "Now I don’t need to say that Mass Effect is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, franchise of our time. In fact it’s arguably the greatest franchise of all time. Now before you click away because you feel that I’m some fanatic, wait and hear me out. I’m not saying that Mass Effect is the best connected set of games ever made. And I’m not saying that any 1 of the titles is the best game ever made. What I’m saying is that the Mass Effect franchise as a whole meets a number of criteria that make it a power house franchise among its peers. For the purposes of time, I’ll sum it up quickly."
There are lots of reasons to love a good role-playing game. The stories are immersive, the worlds are detailed, and most importantly, the player is given a range of control over how they want to play. Options range from choosing what type of fighting style you like to customizing a character with a unique look and personality.
I really like the whole morality concept as long as it affects the ending and general progression of the game. At the very least how people treat you.
As much as I loved Infamous 2 for example, morality is pretty much a non factor in which ending you get as it is based on one final decision at the end of the game. Kinda a buzz kill if you ask me.
Infamous SS did it better IMO, save for a few story scenes that are exactly the same regardless of morality. At least here however your ending is determined by your overall morality throughout the game.
The Ogre Battle franchise does it best though. Not only does morality affect everything throughout the game, but also who your allies and enemies outside of the big bad do as well. How I miss this IP.

No matter how hard I try, I just can’t do an evil playthrough of a video game. It’s not because I’m a nice guy (I’m actually a selfish jerk), games just can’t do them right.
inFAMOUS did it well, they only franchise where I constantly played each path, they made it interesting by presenting it as means vs ends not "good vs evil".
with Ghost of Tsushima SP said the paths will be warrior vs ninja
one other game that did the paths in an interesting way was Jade Empire and the open palm vs closed fist
I have a hard time doing it as well lol. I have been bad in a few games but it's always the second play through and only a few times. I'm going to do it in my second play through of Detroit and Vampyr though.
Lol i am the same. I recently attempted a "machine Connor" playthrough of Detroit Become Human, but halfway through I found myself choosing all the nice/kind options again. I need to try it again!
Some characters I like too much to go the jerk route lol. I will do the same options for certain characters even on jerk playthroughs. It’s all subconsciously though, I guess that’s just a testament to their character design.
Andrew and I have a lengthy discussion on the games and series we would love to see on a current generation platform." -- PlayStation Enthusiast
If only there were a system that supported games from previous generations it would make waiting for ports obsolete...
I never played Persona 3 or 4 and would love to give them go after a Persona 5! Also one game I was blown away by back in the day was Eternal Darkness! I would love to see it get a proper Remake much like Shadow of the Colossus! I know Silicone Knights about no more but man that game was amazingly ahead of its time!
Persona 3 yeah, fine. Leave Persona 4 alone though. It got a great rerelease on Vita and I'm tired of Vita games being put on consoles. Let it breath a gen atleast and then give it a full on remake
