IGN Live Presents: Infamous Second Son

IGN plays inFAMOUS Second Son showing quite a lot of the game.

So the game doesn't have dynamic shadows, but water reflections all around ? WOW.

It looks better than E3. At least more detailed !

AMAZING §§§§§

Wow. The lighting, the neon effects, the destruction, the draw distance, the reflections in the puddles...everything looks amazing. This feels like a proper next gen game (inb4 "HURR DURR NO DYNAMIC SHADOWS"). The section where Delsin and Fetch are fighting together in the street was awesome!

Seeing this gameplay after the downgraded Watch Dogs trailer is embarrassing. Watch Dogs looks like a last gen game compared to this.

Also, i bet the people saying "empty city, no pedestrians!" feel a little silly now making those presumptions. There were tons of cars and people on the streets at multiple times in the stream. The city looks and feels amazing.

CAN'T WAIT for March 21st!

Incredible. Wow...seriously wow.

And I like what they said about the collectables being tied to the game economy.

What PC version? Ubisoft? I think you are confusing this with Watchdogs. Second Son is neither made nor published by Ubisoft, it is a Sony IP and studio.

And Watchdogs is the one that everyone is talking about having been downgraded. Here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum...

Granted a lot of the video actually looks better than that gif but the daylight sections look horrible.

This looks almost too good to be true. I feel like I'm being punked here but I know this is how good this game is actually going to be. This has been my most anticipated game since the new consoles were announced.

Infamous was my 2nd favorite series until I played TLOU. Now it's an extremely close 3rd but it's in unbelievable company with Uncharted and TLOU.

Just a few more weeks!
They are going to crawl by.

It truly does look awesome and it's just the game I was wanting for my PS4, but to say it makes Watch Dogs look like a last gen game is silly. I'll withhold judgement of Watch Dogs until we see more gameplay, but so far it looks pretty good anyway. Infamous Second Son looks better but it isn't a generational difference. Not even close.

Anyway, I love the powers and the freedom that the inFamous games have always provided. This one looks like the best yet.

morganfell3723d ago

It didn't confuse us. You replied to 1/5th of his statement with no context in your remarks. You confused everyone. Step up and take responsibility.

Was watching it and tweeting at the same time. I wanted that Delsin statue :(

feraldrgn3723d ago

Looking amazing, but I still don't like that ugly looking bar in the bottom left.
Even if they put it up top left, next to the Karma symbol, atleast it'd look somewhat better/tidier.

abstractel3723d ago

That bar is just a cover up. They didn't want to show the map and other HUD elements that might go there.

feraldrgn3722d ago (Edited 3722d ago )

Is that true? If so, good to hear because that's the only visually unappealing bit I can see in this title.

Looking forward to Infamous gameplay, regardless though.

thief3723d ago

Staggering. It's not "gameplay or graphics", it's the best of both worlds. And what an awesome sandbox!
Though nice of them to put a titanfall advertisement, with a bunch of headless idiots running around exactly like a generic COD clone, just before the infamous video. Very helpful to demonstrate the exact difference between last gen versus next gen.

100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released

KwietStorm_BLM124d ago

Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.

SDuck124d ago

Still remember getting hyped about this game nearing release. Funny because I never even got a PS4. Jumped from PS3 to PC so I never played it ahahaha

OmegaSoldati123d ago

Its a good game. But thats it. Congratulations you made the best choice. I dream to have a great PC one day.

Profchaos124d ago (Edited 124d ago )

Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.

Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run

I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.

Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.

I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.

Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88155d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183154d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie154d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
