wow. this game is looking AMAZING!!!! It's so evident what can be accomplished on the PS4 with the devs don't have to worry about parity for the lesser consoles on the market. When PS4 is pushed to the limits you see games like this. Not worrying about if they can shoehorn it into a lesser console really frees the devs to cut loose the power offered to them on the PS4 with the most powerful GPU ever offered in a console and it's GDDR5 the fastest RAM ever offered in a console.

"Our game's about powers, and to show the powers in all its glories you're going to need a lot of particle effects, and a lot of special effects, and lots of things flying around on the screen. So without the processing power there's a lot of things in Second Son that we probably couldn't have done on PS3, but we're able to do that now on PS4."

So basically they couldn't do it on PS3 because they want these gfx. Or they are SAYING it can't be Done because they Dont want to lower the gfx. Or to put it another way, we can make this game on ps3 but the gfx and scale wouldn't be the same, but we re gonna blow smoke up your @$$ and give more PR be. Lol

All I constantly here about these next it can't be done on last gen is gfx. Constantly pointing at gfx like gfx can't be scaled down. But they know people will eat it up even when the blantly tell them. Hey they gotta sell consoles

mediate-this3721d ago

You sound like a cultist lol. Ss will be a good game tho.

Garethvk3721d ago

I played it at CES and I can tell you, the particle FX alone were amazing and not possible on PS 3.

webeblazing3721d ago (Edited 3721d ago )

So particle effects have so much to do with gameplay. Without it the game would be broken. How did we last so long without particle effect. This is what makes next gen. This what has been missing in gaming. This new amazing tech that has never been seen and used before will turn the gaming world on its head

Quick question by what your saying would removing it make it possible on ps3???

Garethvk3721d ago

If they scaled down the particle FX and graphics yes, if you see it in action it is impressive and does require lots of power to do. Plus it moves very fast.

webeblazing3721d ago

i seen particle effects like this for the longest. it looks good but let not give devs a blow job every time they say it cant be dont on last gen.

Meltic3721d ago

Ko_Uraki3721d ago

100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released

KwietStorm_BLM122d ago

Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.

SDuck122d ago

Still remember getting hyped about this game nearing release. Funny because I never even got a PS4. Jumped from PS3 to PC so I never played it ahahaha

OmegaSoldati121d ago

Its a good game. But thats it. Congratulations you made the best choice. I dream to have a great PC one day.

Profchaos122d ago (Edited 122d ago )

Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.

Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run

I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.

Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.

I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.

Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88153d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183152d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie152d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
