Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn announced

A new Shaq-Fu game is finally happening, and it could come to consoles.

They address that on their indiegogo. Shaq is putting a LOT of money into this game, as well as giving away some of his valuable possessions and giving 5% of all profits to The Boys and Girls Club of America.

Shaq is asking for $450,000 to crowdfund this game--a measly sum to a wealthy man. He could certainly foot that bill himself. And the fact he doesn't tells me that he doesn't believe in the game.

Only reason I can think of is, longer limbs are easier to animate.

Why? The original was terrible. The only reason it sold copies was because it came out when Shaq was in his prime. It also came out when Kazaam and Steel were in theaters (two aweful movies staring Shaq for anyone born after 1993).

This is a total cash grab with hopes that people won't remember how bad the original was.

I think it's the opposite. It's more like "hey remember that game everyone hated we're making a sequel"

It's not really that much of a cash grab. Shaq himself is putting a lot of money into this project and will reward anyone who helps fund it. He is also donating some of the profits.

Plus, it's a different studio that's making this game. That alone is a good reason to give it a chance. Why judge this game by the work of this studio because of what a different studio did 20 years ago?

I will buy this if its a fun 6-7/10 side scrolling beat em up game. I really am enjoying Stryder and thats not really that great of a game. Looks like they are having fun making this, so it should be a fun game.
