Love the game.

@ the phantom disagrees: just stop it.

Where did you get the info from your second paragraph from? I ask, because I don't see anything related to that mentioned in the source. When I compare the screens they posted - which are clearly not from the XBox360 demo, hence the F-keys in the pictures - I do not spot any difference to what I saw on my PS3. I am no critic, though.

EDIT: Nice one, I have to give you that. Should have quoted you, eh?

I wasn't talking about the PC demo this post wasn't clear on which crowd or demo they were talking about sounded like a generalization. Thats why I edited my post because I'm not sure who's let down(the PC crowd or the console crowd). I see the good dam Key board keys in the replay bar sheeesh).

The PC version hasn't really been shown and it came out after the media for the console versions. I was confused about who was let down by videos and demo, this is the first time I'v heard or seen anyhting on this game for PC besides that the demo on PC would come after the consonle versions.

Find me all the screenshots and trailers for the PC version these people are supposedly gaging the performance of their PC off of, thats why I made the comment and edited it because I'm confused due to missing all the PC footage somehow.

Well, I can't give you a link to a trailer of the PC version, but the article clearly states that they used FRAPS on the PC demo, the San Francisco level and even what resolutions/settings. Thats how they took the FPS - the components they used are noted on the top left of the pictures with the bar charts. Screenshots are also there, just click them. Besides, how would they benchmark different GPUs on a console?

Alexander Roy5829d ago

Nice to a see a quite nicely looking game to not need 3Way-SLI/CF to run at higher resolutions at what appears to be quite playable speed. Kudos to Codemasters for having such an engine.

Alexander Roy5829d ago

So you want to be forced to buy three high-end GPUs à 500$ to see the game running at 50FPS at 1280x1024? You must have balls, man. And a lot of money to spend, too.

All I know is that the Grid demo is FUN!

I've been having a blast ever since it came out. It looks awesome on my Philips LCD TV and it sounds great through my 5.1 setup.

The only thing that sucks are all of the asswipes who decide that since they suck at playing the game, they will drive the wrong way and ruin it for those of us with actual skills.
Gotta make people driving the wrong way invisible, then the game will be 100% awesome.

Alexander Roy5829d ago

At first I felt like the game was crap, I slided all the time and stuff. Then I remembered to actually use the brake and drive more like it wasn't Mario Kart (in which I only need one button - the gas :p) and I started getting better. In the end I wasn't able to beat the eBay WR, I only managed to make it in 1:48:62. Almost threw the pad into the TV.

If I have to play an Arcade Racer it's going to be the NFS:Tuner series.

I found GRID not fun.

sonarus5829d ago

They didn't even try to not be so arcadey. It plays like those old racers you play in the arcades at the movies

Bluejet5829d ago (Edited 5829d ago )

Hell i just got finished playing the demo, awesome game !

BTW@ TMAC AND SONARUS try and give it another chance i didn't feel it at first myself, but hey if you don't like it you don't like it.
