Ether One Dev Would Develop for PS4 VR Headset if Price is Right

VRFocus - White Paper Games, the developer behind the upcoming Ether One, has said that it would like to bring its first-person adventure to the rumoured PlayStation 4 virtual reality (VR) headset if the price is right. Speaking to VRFocus, co-founder Peter Bottomley explained that, while the team doesn’t know anything about the unannounced hardware, they would see ‘no reason not to’ develop for it should it be cost-effective.

The price is leaked to be $999.99 am i right?

The Sony Personal 3D viewer was around $1000. Once they add in Dev costs and head-tracking, I wouldnt be surprised if the PS4 VR Headset gets pretty pricey.

Disagrees for a valid point smh... They will never sell it for a price like that, and I agree price will probably be over $1000

@MaddSkull

- Lol not like Microsoft? Yea right does Sony not like money? Yes.
- Do they not lie to get people to buy there product like every other company does? Yes.
- Does Sony car about you or anyone else and just think about us as money? Yes

i think the price would be less than 400$ since that is the price of the console they wouldn't sell a peripheral that costs more than the console itself. Sony isn't like microsoft you know

ThatOneGuyThere3707d ago

likely 199-249. doubt they would charge more than that and expect anyone to buy it

webeblazing3707d ago

So when they going to release this? Or are they waiting for OR to get all the kinks out than copy.

If Sony do release a VR headset then I hope it is affordable it wouldn't do them any favours selling it at the same price as the Sony HMZ series headsets. I bought one of them two years ago and I have to say that not only was the HMZ-T1 ridiculously over priced it was also one of the biggest gimmicks I ever wasted €950 on

It'll likely be used with the camera to save on costs

This game really annoyed me. I enjoyed the story and some of the puzzles were fun - I even completed it. The graphics were okay and the message made a healthy change.

But I wasn't able to fully complete it, since there was a glitch that meant you couldn't get some projector pieces if you did things in a certain order. It was all over the forums and the developers, White Paper Games, didn't bother to fix it, leaving me pissed to the point I won't buy their future games. /end rant

RpgSama2777d ago

The game had issues and worst of all game breaking bugs, but I could eventually finish it and the ending was really something else, the build up to the ending and the ending per se left a really big impression on me.

Really enjoyed this game and having got it free via ps+ I was very pleased. A proper game that put the story first.
