May 16, 2008 - We've been hinting at first footage for High Voltage Software's The Conduit ever since its unveiling a few weeks back, but we're finally able to pull the curtain back on it.

All i can say is.. How are they doing this on Wii?? Please lend your engine out to other developers!

Omg wii fanbois are popping out of the woodwork lol. That game looks worse the killzone on the ps2. How do they do that???!

TruthbeTold5827d ago

If that's what you have to tell yourself in order to feel good about your own choices then so be it. :p

thewhoopimen5827d ago

i meant it as a joke about the fanboi. I have a wii myself. But i don't exactly think I will be playing this FPS on the wii anytime soon. It just doesn't look good. Corruption looks better even...

Please let there be online multi player.

I think there is: at the end of the trailer, Mr. Adams says "Mr. Ford, Deathmatch has been authorized."

High Voltage Software: You have my attention

Mine 2. How does the tech demo look better than actual gameplay??? And why do people time after time get fooled by stupid perception tricks. I noticed they use the exact same texture strategy as most FPS on the 360 and PS3 console. People, stop looking at the gun and hand textures that represent the character. That will always be higher poly and sharper than the surrounding environment. So many of you gamers are fooled by how good the gun and hands look that you completely miss the simplistic cars, pillars, building walls and roads. The gun and reloading animation isn't what you are looking at 90% of the game. You're actually looking at the environment and enemies. Here is how game designers prioritize quality of textures. Main characters are always high polygon, enemies are always 2nd, and environmental objects last. Look at how weapon hits on enemies are simplistic paintball "puffs". Water is just a simple repeating texture. Explosions are just expanding orange spheres. Bullets fired on walls show a brown cloud "puff" exactly like blood "puff" and then leave oversized that seem to pop-in a millisecond later. Alot of the effects are simulated and not actual physics.

Amazing. Please buy this game to support the Wii's third party efforts. We desperately need more games like this.

This is the wii's KZ2 in some respects I guess. Its not exactly next gen looking but could be fun with the wii mote. Most likely will wait and buy it used.

Looks amazing for a Wii game but I can tell that it is a Wii game.

This game looks good. But the ps3 and 360 can pull off this look easily.

Honestly though, I hope people buy this game. It's really disheartening for developers when their GOOD games get outsold by stuff like mario and sonic at the olympics.

I'm talking about games like zack and wiki, okami, and no more heroes. Games that are GREAT, but sold like crap.

Voiceofreason5827d ago

They'll buy this game if it is advertised like MArio and Sony at the olympics(3rd party game) was or SMG. NMH was in no way a failure and outsold all previous Suda 51 titles. Okami is a two year old port of a PS2 game with little to no advertising. Zack and Wiki is a hard sale when they give interviews saying its for 5 year olds but most reviews admit its not for 5 year olds when it comes to game play. Proof that 3rd party games will sale on Wii can be found by simply looking at the million sellers on Wii. Each of the 3rd party games that hit that mark also had TV advertising. Only exception I can think of is RE4. didnt see any ads for it.

Splatoon 2 Shows Off What Wii Shooters Should Have Been

There’s a consensus about Splatoon 1 that cannot be disputed: motion controls are the way to play. The Wii U Gamepad had its many problems on the system as a whole, but along with the way in which the touch screen was implemented in the first game like I mentioned in my last piece, using the Gamepad’s gyroscope was deemed a superior way to play compared to traditional joystick control.
