Infamous is one of the most underrated franchises of the last generation, imo. I hope the high PS4 sales lead to Second Son getting the sales, fanbase and recognition the series deserves.

Wingsfan243710d ago

Hopefully they bring the previous games to the PSNow service so once people play Second Son, they can go experience the first two games as well.

Hopefully a large number of the new people coming from 360 , Wii , or wherever they are coming from jump on the inFAMOUS train , and then jump on a train in inFAMOUS !

Well I'm one of those people, I never got to play infamous (thinking back it might be the only Sony exclusive I never got chance to play) I got my ps3 when gow3 came out and back tracked with resistance, killzone broken sword and the older gow's and uncharted.
I'm really looking forward to this though, I've not watched many videos after the launch about it because I wanted it to be a surprise. I hope like you it gets some good sales and justifies the making of the triple A single player games. Now that I'm older I don't get too much time to spend 200 hours in multiplayer so I love a 10-30 hour experience that stays with me longer than mp games.
Its a good year for singleplayers
Witcher 3, dragon age 3, the order, watch dogs
Even things like destiny and division while not technically single players they are still story driven and I'm sure will be amazing :-)

Haha! I must have spent 10 hours just doing tricks on the trains. That was so much fun!

Magicite3710d ago

I believe Infamous SS might beat sales of First Infamous (2,73m)

Meltic3710d ago

i really hope the story of infamous second son is good. Like in the beginning how he get hes Powers etc

Ilovetheps53710d ago

The first two had really good storylines, so I doubt it will be any different in this one. I don't think you'll be disappointed, but that's just an opinion of mine.

Can't wait for Second Son. 20 days to go.

Meltic3710d ago

20 Days feels like months. Im counting the Days everyday. Meaby i stop counting and it will come to my door. Ive pre order it home delievery so it comes to my door :D:D

ForgottenProphecy3710d ago

It's funny, because those are the four games I'm getting this month. (Not getting Ninja Gaiden).

DigitalRaptor3710d ago

Dat Second Son wait. 20 days!

Not finished Demon's Souls, let alone Dark Souls, so DS2 can wait.

We are going to see a lot of crap South Park products since they sold out to paramount years ago. It's their IP they can sell out, of course; it just means the quality of their show has tanked and other products as well. Nevertheless, they put on excellent musicals, but those haven't been sold to a mega corporation.

They said awhile ago that Ubisoft holds contract rights to the main flagship South Park games. So like stick, fractured and phone destroyer.

Snow Day was handled by THQ and Question and is a random spinoff. Hopefully Ubisoft is cooking something.

anast30d ago

That's one reason to be hopeful, but Ubi is trending down too.

Loved the RPGs but never played the others. Have to track them down. Still not sure about Snow Day though.

Hidetaka Miyazaki claims Dark Souls 2 “carried” the series forward

Dark Souls 2 remains a divisive entry in the landmark RPG franchise, but Hidetaka Miyazaki believes it led to the success of Elden Ring.

The game isn't good though.

DS2 was fine. While there was a bit of recycling assets or ideas for bosses, it was a bigger more open Dark Souls. The Fume knight boss is one of the hardest bosses in the series until Sekiro and Elden Ring were released.

CrimsonWing6961d ago

The problem with Dark Souls 2 was the same problem when a different director takes over for a sequel to an outstanding movie. It typically (there are exceptions) doesn’t have the feel and vision of the previous movie.

I wouldn’t say Dark Souls 2 is terrible. Had Dark Souls 1 never been a thing and we got this, I think it would have been praised more. The problem is it didn’t have the Miyazaki touch to it and felt pretty derivative. The soundtrack is a banger though.

Aussiesummer61d ago

And it will happen in the future when he doesn’t touch them as he is planning on.

MrBaskerville61d ago

I like DS 2, might even be my favorite of the 3. But it's a hard sell, there's so many obscure things you need to do to make it an enjoyable experience. So always find it hard to recommend, but it is worth the trouble.
