GeekParty writes: "Growing up, Ghostbusters was the pinnacle of awesome. It had everything I wanted, from clever jokes to people heroically rising above their own flaws and standing firm in the face of a literal god. As I grew, I found more nuance and details that I hadn’t noticed as a child. The smug charm Bill Murray brought to the character of Peter Venkman, the rambling everyman as played by Dan Ackroyd, the way Harold Ramis portrayed a detached genius are all things I came to appreciate as I further understood the world around me. I even loved Ghostbusters 2, though as an adult I recognize that it was not as good a movie. It didn’t matter then, and it doesn’t matter now, because I will happily watch both movies for hours on end."

WTMG's Todd Eggleston: "Ghostbusters The Video Game is nostalgia done right, and puts you right back in 1984. It isn’t a masterpiece of a game, and neither was the movie, but it reminds us again that it is ok for entertainment to just be entertaining. It is a game that deserves to be remastered and remembered. And 35 years later, it also serves to remind us that a remaster doesn’t always need to be Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott. Sometimes, Ray Parker Jr. is exactly who you need to call."
