Final Fantasy and inFamous for me.

ArchangelMike3715d ago

Looks like I'll be cancelling my Thief pre-order, and instead I'll be getting MGS:GZ, alongside Infamous.

Nice there was a price update on GZ. 40 bones was pretty high

FamilyGuy3715d ago

Infamous and South Park for me, I also want FF10 and Dark Souls 2 but I can wait till I'm at least done with these two before picking those up.

The list of march titles is ridiculous! Im getting infamous, dw8, mgs:gz, strike suit zero, ffx (been #1 on my NEED IN MY LIFE list since they day they first announced), and south park. The only day one purchases however are ssz, ffx and infamous...maybe dw8 but thats a stretch of the budget!

We're calling March the "wallet buster" around my house.

We are going to see a lot of crap South Park products since they sold out to paramount years ago. It's their IP they can sell out, of course; it just means the quality of their show has tanked and other products as well. Nevertheless, they put on excellent musicals, but those haven't been sold to a mega corporation.

They said awhile ago that Ubisoft holds contract rights to the main flagship South Park games. So like stick, fractured and phone destroyer.

Snow Day was handled by THQ and Question and is a random spinoff. Hopefully Ubisoft is cooking something.

That's one reason to be hopeful, but Ubi is trending down too.

Loved the RPGs but never played the others. Have to track them down. Still not sure about Snow Day though.

Hidetaka Miyazaki claims Dark Souls 2 “carried” the series forward

The game isn't good though.

DS2 was fine. While there was a bit of recycling assets or ideas for bosses, it was a bigger more open Dark Souls. The Fume knight boss is one of the hardest bosses in the series until Sekiro and Elden Ring were released.

The problem with Dark Souls 2 was the same problem when a different director takes over for a sequel to an outstanding movie. It typically (there are exceptions) doesn’t have the feel and vision of the previous movie.

I wouldn’t say Dark Souls 2 is terrible. Had Dark Souls 1 never been a thing and we got this, I think it would have been praised more. The problem is it didn’t have the Miyazaki touch to it and felt pretty derivative. The soundtrack is a banger though.

Aussiesummer61d ago

And it will happen in the future when he doesn’t touch them as he is planning on.

I like DS 2, might even be my favorite of the 3. But it's a hard sell, there's so many obscure things you need to do to make it an enjoyable experience. So always find it hard to recommend, but it is worth the trouble.
